Amazing quality
Best choice and very reasonably priced. Motion sensor, real time video, and you have audio. Easy to install and set up, plus good picture with no subscription needed.

Outstanding system, no hidden fees.
I have needed a security system at my home for some time. I have a 3-camera NEST wireless system at work, and it's pretty easy to use, but you have to keep the wireless cameras plugged on 24/7 in order to record full-time. Kind of defeats the purpose of "wireless". The NEST cameras are not quite as simple as the Eufy cameras. The NEST cameras are not as accurate as the Eufy system either. I have both systems set up to only send notifications from the area inside the camera's view that I select. Both systems are set up in the same manner with this. However, the NEST cameras miss a lot of movement within the area that I have set up to notify me. The Eufy never misses. The best feature is that in order to store video with NEST, you have to pay an additional monthly fee. The Eufy system records to a wifi drive. It can store 6 months worth of video and snapshots that you can recall, save to a device, disc, flash drive or whatever as well as share it. The quality of the NEST cameras is good, but the Eufy cameras are sharper and much more colorful. NEST can zoom tighter, but the resolution breaks down very quickly when you zoom. Far more than the Eufy does. In conclusion, Irecommend the Eufy system for several reasons. 1) Sharp and colorful images that hold resolution very well as you zoom. 2) accuracy. 3) Free storage (on the device that is included). and no hidden fees. 4) Cameras are truly wireless. You only need to plug them in to charge, which looks like it'll be in about 6 months. 5) Price. 149 for 2 cameras and the storage device. And finally, ease of setup. I hope to have this system for quite some time.

Disappointed because of some major flaws in this product
I ordered the Eufy Cam 2C as I was looking for a replacement for my 3 year old Arlo 720P camera set up and Arlo was only offering cameras that worked if you paid for a monthly subscription. The price for this Eufy product was very reduced and very reasonable as Eufy was in the process of replacing it with a Eufy Cam 3C model. I thought paying $179 for a 1080P 2 camera setup that did not require a subscription was a great deal. The pros. This product was easy to set up. You need to download the Eufy Security App to your phone or tablet to set it up. The homebase has to be connected to your router via an ethernet cable for setup. After setup, you can change this to use Wifi but that is only after setup. In the setup the primary option to set up the homebase is to use the Eufy Security app to scan the barcode on the bottom of the homebase. However, several attempts at doing that failed. Fortunately, the Eufy Security app has a readily seen option to enter the homebase ID manually and doing so worked immediately. Synching cameras to the homebase is trivially easy. You just click on "Add Device" in the Eufy Security app and follow the instructions to push the sync button on the camera. The cameras synched flawlessly. The app gives you a lot of help to set up the cameras advising on signal strength between the homebase and the camera. Surprisingly, I had good signal strength almost anywhere I placed the cameras on the house to the homebase which was in an upstairs bedroom. The picture from the Eufy cameras were outstanding compared to my older model Arlo cameras. So far, I was very happy. The cons. My intention was to replace multiple cameras covering the front yard which currently provides multi-angle views of any movement. However, to my horror, I quickly realized that I could not apparently do this with the Eufy system. If one camera detected movement it seemed to lock out any other camera from recording at the same time. I could not get simultaneous recordings of movement from the two cameras. I consulted the internet and others mentioned the same problem with one person showing a text he got from Eufy product support that indicated simultaneous recording is not supported by this system. There is some dispute about this on the internet but simultaneous recording definitely does not work for me and I consider this a serious drawback. More on this later. The other shock I got was that while live views of the camera were fantastic, playbacks of recorded movement were incredibly choppy. The recordings were acting like they were losing a tremendous number of frames. One would see a person move, freeze and then appear 5 feet from where they were in the previous frame. It is genuinely awful. Now I verified it was not a signal strength issue using the strength information provided by the Eufy Security app and even tested the situation where I placed the camera literally right next to the homebase. Result: still awful. I checked that the homebase and cameras were using the latest version of firmware and they were. In the end I did not replace my existing Arlo camera setup which had two cameras covering the front and two cameras covering the back. Instead, I simply added to my setup by adding one Eufy camera to the front and one to the back. Looking at my total needs, this is an improvement. The Eufy cameras in front and back won't be affected by lack of simultaneous recording capability. The Eufy camera detail is far superior to my Arlo cameras if I freeze recordings but the choppiness in the Eufy recordings prevent me from replacing my existing Arlo systems. Now what I did next may make some of you question my judgment. I ordered this product another time. Given the price, I wanted to have backup replacement Eufy cameras in the future if something happened to my existing cameras and secondly I wanted to see if having two homebases would fix my inability to have two Eufy cameras recording the same area simultaneously if i synced the cameras to different homebases. So, I set up a second homebase and synched the new cameras to do that. That was easy to do. I positioned 2 Eufy cameras pointing to the same area but synched to different homebases. To my delight, the two cameras were able to record the same movement simultaneously using this setup. I was going to use this setup to add additional Eufy cameras to the front and back of the house when I found out the freeze frame issue seemed to be even worse with this second system. Decided it was not worth the time and effort to add additional cameras as it would likely be a source of frustration. So I packed up my second order of this product to save as replacements if my existing Eufy cameras develop problems down the road. So while the resolution of these cameras are very good and their individual ability to sense motion is good the fact that you cannot simultaneously record from multiple cameras on the same homebase and even worse recording playback is horribly and frustratingly choppy, in my view, makes purchasing this system questionable. While I was able to get enough value for the price to keep my purchases, I cannot recommend this system to others unless you fully understand the product flaws and agree that you might be able to live with them. Two stars from me. Update 12/17/2022 I don’t know why and through no action on my part, the freeze frame issues I had had with the Eufy cameras have recently disappeared. Right now, there are no frame losses. For that reason, I am changing my rating from 2 stars to 3 stars. I will continue to monitor this and report any changes. Update 02/23/2023 Since December, the freeze frame issues I originally had have disappeared through no efforts on my part. Given that, two weeks ago I set up the other two cameras I had purchased to go along with their separate home base to add additional outside coverage. While apparently only one camera at a time can record to a single home base, if I have two cameras covering different angles of my front lawn attached to two different homebases they can record simultaneously. As such, I was able to replace my old Arlo cameras with these Eufy cameras. Given Arlo stopped supporting promised free 7 day video storage, having Eufy systems which can record unlimitedly without a subscription charges was a godsend. So my Arlo systems are now replaced by superior cameras with virtually unlimited free data storage of events. As such, I am now very happy with my Eufy purchases and am changing my rating from 3 to 4.

Eufy beats Arlo hands down. I'm running both.
I've had three Arlo Pro 2 cameras for several years now and was fairly happy with them. They advertise "High Definition" video and when I saw the actual recordings, they're more like 800x600 or maybe 1024x768. Detection is slow and sometimes I catch people walking away from the house, but not approaching. Arlo Pro 2 was the last model that allowed 2 weeks of free online storage. All Newer Arlos require a subscription service to be even minimally useful (you can't view videos when away from the house if you don't subscribe). Batteries lasted a month, maybe two, which I thought was great. Arlo's online access has 2-factor which RARELY works first try. I have tried 3 push-notifications that never worked, and resorted to 2ndary option of SMS, which usually works. Many times, immediately after logging into the app or the website, I'm immediately logged out and told I need to log in again. Arlo frustrates me regularly. I got some Eufy cameras for additional surveillance of my car and front door. Video quality is better than Arlo, but still not what I would call HiDef like a HiDef movie or TV show. Different settings may yield higher quality, but I'm opting for battery life since video quality is good enough. The batteries TRULY last 180 days, which is AMAZING, considering they're capturing over 2,000 20-second video clips during that timeframe (using Optimal Battery Life setting). I can view videos anywhere for free. Online storage goes back at least 30 days!! I can set up an RTSP NAS device (like Ubiquiti - $200) to store videos locally, or you can use an SD card--but this card can't be removed and used in your computer to retrieve videos. You must access videos through the base station to decrypt them. They don't have easy-to-use local USB storage like Arlo, which is unfortunate. I've had a couple instances where our car left the parking spot and was not detected, but I get a notification when it then comes back--or the person at the front door has 10 or 20 seconds of their presence missing between clips or before/after a clip, but this is rare. I also have a notification for our front door (sound set to "Knock Knock") which is REALLY handy and instantaneous in most cases. Someone walks up and my phone alerts "Knock Knock" even before the doorbell rings (especially useful when deliveries are left). This is really cool when you're on vacation and you get a knock knock to find out a package was left--so you notify a neighbor to pick it up for you. At this point, Eufy is my recommendation for home cameras when compared to Arlo. I was given some newer Arlo cameras and was completely disappointed when I discovered I needed a subscription to use them, and the batteries only lasted a week or so. My years-old Arlo Pro 2 batteries still last a month, for cryin' out loud. Eufy's battery life of 4 months minimum (near my street parking, where every passing car triggers it) to 6 months (front door) is just amazing. Video quality is great--not excellent. Detection is really good, too. Storage, access, and usability meets all my needs.

I don’t write reviews often but was very impressed with the EufyCam 2C (purchased two sets and several add on cameras for usage at two different locations). I’m a current owner of cameras from Nest (Nest IQ indoor), Wyze (Wyze V2 cam) and Blink (Blink XT2). The EufyCam 2C has easily replaced the Blink XT2 as my recommendation for outdoor wireless camera for the following reasons: 1) Wider field of view (2C is 135 degrees vs. 110 for the Blink XT2) 2) Higher resolution recordings. By default, the Blink XT2 is set to record at “standard” resolution within the app, which is actually 720p (this has to be manually toggled to “best” by the user which is 1080p). I found this out the hard way when reviewing footage on my computer and noticing the subpar quality. The 2C records at 1080p. 3) Actual battery percentage meter. The Blink XT2 app only lets users know if the battery is “OK” or needs to be replaced. The 2C has a granular battery percentage meter. Although this may seem like a small deal, it’s important to know when your outdoor cameras are about to run out of batteries so that you can charge them before extended absences from your home (i.e. vacations). There are numerous folks on the Blink forums who have had their cameras just go offline without any notice that the batteries were depleted. 4) Built in rechargeable lithium batteries. The Blink XT2s use disposable Energizer lithium batteries. These can cost anywhere from 1-2 dollars CAD per piece, with two required per camera per swap. This adds up quite quickly as the cameras, when set to a sensitivity level that is useful, run out of batteries quick. Third party options for alternate power are quite limited. The 2Cs have integrated lithium batteries charged over micro USB. They are capable of taking up to 2A at 5V so charge quite rapidly. Battery percentage is quickly accessible via the app. 5) On device AI. The Blink XT2 is “dumb” in the sense that all PIR fluctuations are recorded as events. This is quite frustrating and results in tons of false notifications regardless on how diligently the user sets motion sensitivity and activity zones. The EufyCam 2C can be set to notify on all motion but also has optional on device AI which notifies only for people. The AI is quite robust and for my application (cameras located outside of my place) resulted in approximately 1 false notification every 2-3 days on average, even with the cameras on maximum sensitivity. 6) Cost. The Blink XT2 regular price is 129 CAD for a single camera and sync module. The two camera setup for the 2C is 269 CAD right now with discount. The pricing is so similar that it does not make any sense to buy the XT2s because you can get a much more superior product for virtually the same price. The only flip side to this is that you have to start with the two camera setup. 7) Privacy. This mattered less to me but for the privacy conscious, the EufyCam recordings are stored locally on the HomeBase 2. Just note that your experience in playing back the clips will depend on the upload speed of your ISP provided connection as the footage has to be streamed to your mobile device. 8) Better included mounting gear. The mounting brackets included with the 2C are rock solid, compared with the XT2 mounts which a strong gust of wind can knock down your cameras. 9) Shorter re-trigger time and longer clips. The Blink XT2 can record clips up to 60 seconds long with a re-trigger time of 10 seconds. The EufyCam 2C can record clips up to 120 seconds long with a re-trigger time of 5 seconds. You will catch more this way! This could be the difference of seeing something happen and missing it completely Concerns/areas for improvement 1) There have been a few (note: very few) instances where I feel that the on device AI may be slightly too aggressive in excluding events with people when cameras are set to people detection only 2) A feature that has been in the pipeline for quite a bit of time but has not yet materialized is using the USB port on the Homebase 2 for encrypted external storage backup of recordings; this is not yet available 3) The first quarter second or so of footage may not be useful as the 2C has to wake up, adjust exposure and start recording. Most of the times this interval has overexposed footage This camera also easily matches up to the Arlo series at a fraction of the price. Overall highly recommended! Will be purchasing more cameras in the future, in particular the Eufycam 2 with longer battery life to be used in higher traffic areas around the house

I had picked up a eufy wired doorbell and decided to stick with the brand, as I was very happy with it. I’m glad I did. I attached the home base to my router, it picked up the cameras very fast, and I spent awhile finding the perfect spots for them. I have one in front of my garage, watching the driveway and street, and have spent awhile tuning the detection threshold so that it gives me only the results I want. The backyard was harder - I wanted it there mostly to check for skunks or raccoons before I let the dog out at night. The camera out front got great reception at all times, the one in the back was perfect until I moved it outside, beside the window frame. Of course I checked it INSIDE the window before I spent 20 minutes hanging out of a 2nd story window installing it and had to uninstall it. That whole outside corner was a dead zone once it passed the window, so I installed it at the other corner of our second floor, outside the master bedroom. Works great and has decent resolution at night. Daytime definition is great, but when installed high off the ground (which it’s not really designed for) it falls off, especially when the light is poor. I’m still happy, and after two weeks of me constantly checking it and fiddling with it, both batteries are still showing 100%. Recommended. CONS: although the siren works great, as does the illuminator, the speakers on these are so tiny that you can’t make out what is said. It sounds a bit like someone trying to speak through a kazoo. If you’re looking to roar challenges at intruders, this won’t do it. The speaker on the doorbell (reviewed separately) works fine, and is likely where you’ll speak to someone anyway. *** February 1st, 2021 update. I’m still very happy with these cameras. The camera over my garage door, which is checked frequently (whenever the dog looks up and starts growling - it’s often an Amazon delivery or food delivery) and it started showing low battery in mid January, 2021 - installed in mid October 2020. So that’s three months outside in the cold, used frequently, before the battery got low. Pretty great!

Muy buenas cámaras, sin embargo si hay mucha actividad en el lugar que están probablemente la batería dure poco y nada que no se solucione con cargarla durante un par de horas y te olvidas por unos meses, es compatible con HomeKit

I had done my research before purchasing a security camera and Eufy had all the features and ease of use I was looking for. And it did live up in those areas; detects movement well, easy to set up and good app. But sadly I have had all units have colour balance issues when there is snow on the ground. Other than the colour they are functioning as described and customer service was helpful and prompt. The cameras had an easy set up and easy to use app. The initial testing seemed like they were missing lots of movement but after being set up overnight they did start to pick up all movement. They never missed a human entering the view and were very good at catching animals within 20 feet or so (set to detect“All movement”). I did start to have connection issues with one camera after a few days. Despite moving it closer to the base station (within 2 feet at one point) and trying other trouble shooting I was unable to resolve the connection issues so I contacted customer service. Customer service was good to deal with. They requested I send the defective camera back and they would send a replacement. The replacement connected well. Sadly all the cameras had white balance issues when there is snow on the ground. When we got some snow the camera started to adjust until the snow was bright violet blue. When first connected to a live view of the camera (or a recorded video) the view is fine and has accurate colour for the first few seconds but after about 5 seconds it “adjusts” and turns everything blue (see attached pictures). After receiving the replacement camera and it too had white balance issues, I asked customer service about it and was told “According to our engineer, this issue is related to the weather ' This indicates to me this white balance issue will always occur in snowy landscapes and with every camera. For a camera rated to -20c I assumed it would work ok in the snow. (I spoke to someone I know who was in on the kickstarter and their original units do not have this issue). For motion sensing it is still functioning well but I got the cameras mainly for monitoring wildlife in the backyard, not for security, so this major colour issue is disappointing and detracting. I do love the app, the ease of use and the motion detection. Edit: I did order and try a Reolink (wireless wifi) camera and while it did have accurate colour in bright light it missed more than 50% of animals, no mater how I adjusted or how close the animal was, especially at night (when most of the animals visit) so it was totally unacceptable and the Eufy performs far far superior in motion detection (and other areas). So despite the occasional blue snow the Eufy cams are the superior camera and the best one for my needs.
