Not always accurate!
The bank seems sturdy enough, and it's big enough .. I think a little bigger than a quart jar even. I like the feature that it turns itself off when not being used. To get the batteries in, we used the tip of a knife for the tiny little screw.I was hoping to use it for my son with special needs to help him in learning to count money. Before he puts a coin in, he says what the new total will be, then puts the coin in and sees if he got it right... a fun way to learn! But it doesn't always give the right amount, which makes it more confusing. It has added in cents by itself, and once it jumped up the amount. Maybe ours has a faulty counter ...? I'm undecided abut returning it for a replacement. For a jar to save coins in, and to have a general idea of how much has been saved, it's fine. But, for the purpose I bought it for, it's a little disappointing. It's accurate most of the time, but not reliably so.Is that 3 stars or 4 stars? We haven't found it hard to push the money through, which I was concerned with. After the first few coins, we learned that we have to start to right side of the slot and push it to the left and then it's easy.

Perfect for car change!
I got this to put in the car to save the change I always get but my kids steal. We've saved up a good amount and are using it for vacation extras :)

Fine but doesn't count dimes
It's fine I guess. For some reason, it's incapable of counting a dime. I don't feel like having to add the extra amounts every time I put in a dime. It counts the others fine. It looked like someone didn't place the inside lid well since some of the reset button is hidden behind the lid. Also wasn't expecting the key ring to be locked in the lock itself. Didn't take much to unlock it but wasn't expecting that. Bit hard to push the coins through but doesn't take a lot of effort. Still counts, just, not for dimes. I'll use it, just not happy about the dimes. I bought it to replace the puppy bank I have but now I have to use it for the dimes.Update: Turns out the coins with edges, not smooth, damages the lil log thing when you put it in. Great.

9 year old boy loves it
Mom got this for her 9 year old grandson and he loves it! He is thrilled that it locks and that it counts the coins.

Great to keep from sticky fingers
Got mine earlier and it’s good so far. It doesn’t come with batteries which I wasn’t too worried about since I goal wasn’t something I use that locks. The only thing I didn’t like it the key for the lock it came with. The key felt cheap and flimsy. If you want something more sturdy, I suggest getting your own.
