Compared to Greenies Pill Pockets
I bought these Zoe Pill Pops at the same time that I purchased Greenies Pill Pockets. Since I have a recently adopted dog with as yet undiagnosed allergies,I liked the fact that these Zoe pill pops do not contain any wheat, soy or corn. I chose the Peanut Butter/Honey flavor since I knew that was a flavor that appealed to my dogs. However, only one of my dogs likes these Zoe Pill Pops and, fortunately, it is the one with allergies :)The Zoe pill pops are larger than the Greenies and not as hollow. Both ends are closed but easy enough to open to insert a pill. They are definitely more crumbly but are sealed two to a cellophane pack to preserve moisture. There are 20 Zoe Pill Pops in a 3.5 oz bag as compared to the 30 Greenies Pill Pockets in a 3.2 oz bag.As I discovered with the Greenies, my dogs are too small and too finicky for pill hiders. If I use a whole pill hider, they break it into pieces and ignore the pill. If I just smash a bite size piece of the pill hider around the pill, they still spit out the pill.I will use these for treats for my allergy prone dog but I won’t be buying these or the Greenies again. For my dogs, the only way for me to be sure that they take a pill is to smear it with peanut butter and shove it to the back of their throat until they swallow.

squeeze first!
I'm glad there is an alternative to the others out there. But there are quality control issues that I hope this company works out. Sometimes they are so dry and crumbly that it is impossible to mold them around a pill. More often than not it's consistent within the same bag. The problem is that this occurs within the same batch number. I have four bags with the same exact "best before date" printed on them, and three are rock hard and one is soft. So it can't be simplified as an "age" issue. This has me wonder how old the materials are that they're using in manufacturing, or if they even have a standardized process to ensure a base level of consistency between batches. I've gotten familiar with what they feel like on the outside of the bag when they are pliable and when they are not. What I try to do now is squeeze them before I open the bag if I'm at the store. If I buy them on Amazon, I make sure to buy them on prime fulfilled by Amazon only so that replacements are straightforward. The more pliable ones out there have ingredients that are less natural, so I prefer to stick with these if possible if Zoe can work out these issues. Also, I wonder why Zoe uses "ginger flavor" in addition to ginger - natural flavors are almost identical to artificial flavors in terms of cellular structure. They're not ideal, even though they appear in natural products. For smaller bodies the size of a dog, I imagine they're even less idea. I don't understand why this company doesn't just use ginger powder without the added "ginger flavor".

Make Medicine Time SO Easy
The media could not be loaded. I love that these pill pockets come wrapped in two for freshness. They are the consistency of play-dough so they are super easy to mush around even bulky pills. My dog swallows them right away - the few times she has spit it out I just mush it around again and she eats it.This packages comes with a total of 20 treats. I usually am able to use half of a treat per pill.

Dog loves these, work great! Expensive for dogs with multiple daily medication needs.
These have been a huge help in medicating my Sophie. She has been diagnosed with two rare disorders and needs 2 pills 3x a day (plus a bunch of other stuff, but I have found that in non-pill forms, thank heavens!) Smearing them with peanut butter only worked for a little while. I couldn't traumatize her with the whole jamming pills down her throat thing for the rest of her life. She is the sweetest dog...I ordered 2 flavors, chicken and beef. Awesome!! She loves them, and it is now almost 3 months later. I can use one package for two pills. I have to take a little from one side to cover the larger pill, but that's fine. The way they are packaged is great, keeping all the treats fresh. The smell is very strong to me, and not too pleasant, but it is attractive to her, and that's what matters! I assume it helps mask the smell of the medication dogs would otherwise be averse to.If money is a factor, you may have some thinking to do. If you are looking at a short term situation, or for something to have on hand because your dog needs meds occasionally, then this is great. For me, one bag lasts 3 days... 9-10 bags a month adds up fast, especially on top of the cost of Sophie's medications. I love the all-natural aspect of this product, and this is something I follow with both my dogs in food and their cookies. But, I will have to break away from that in this case.

I was worried my dog wouldn't like it or try it unless I broke it into ...
I was worried my dog wouldn't like it or try it unless I broke it into the smallest possible pieces. She is tiny and won't try to eat anything she thinks is too big. I was also worried she would eat around the medicine and spit the medicine out. None of the above. She loves it so much, she is willing to eat it and she doesn't even notice the medicine at all. No problems. I tell her it's candy and she is so happy with her morning and night time treat! This is so important to me because it was upsetting me AND to her, to stick 3 pill pieces down her throat twice a day. She has heart failure and won't live too much longer, so I'm glad the end of her life will be filled with happy times of treats instead of fighting to get away from me to avoid things being stuck down her little throat.

TOXIC PLZ DO NOT BUY THIS OR USE IF PURCHASED
GARLIC, like other members of the Allium family, contain compounds called disulfides and thiosulphates which can be TOXIC CATS AND DOGS if ingested. The ingestion OF GARLIC CAUSES CONDITIONS called hemolytic anemia, Heinz body anemia, and methemoglobinemia which are all manifestation of damage to red blood cells. Essentially, the COMPOUNDS IN GARLIC can CAUSE THE RED BLOOD CELLS circulating through your pet’s body to become VERY FRAGILE AND BURST.How Much Garlic is Toxic to Pets?“From a toxicity perspective, GARLIC IS APPROXIMATELY 5 TIMES MORE CONCENTRATED THAN ONIONS,” says Dr. Ahna Brutlag, a board-certified veterinary toxicologist and director of veterinary services at Pet Poison Helpline.****Consider the rule of thumb when it comes to onion toxicity: Consumption of as little as 5 g/kg of onions in cats or 15 to 30 g/kg in dogs has resulted in clinically important red blood cell damage. According to scientific studies, ONION TOXICOSIS is consistently noted in animals that INGEST MORE THAN 0.5% OF THEIR BODY WEIGHT IN ONIONS at one time.**********Since GARLIC IS MORE CONCENTRATED than an onion, an even smaller ingested amount could lead to toxicosis—as little as ONE CLOVE OF GARLIC CAN LEAD TO TOXICITY IN CATS and small dogs.*********So basically don't assume your already likely compromised (since on meds) pet is being difficult if they refuse to eat this too like both my cats' did since maybe they just figured out this ingredient was included before I did.Why is this even being sold in Canada and in any way a result listed in cat treat searches?!IRRESPONSIBLE both the manufacturers and Amazon as a direct retailer of delicious toxicity.Ps. While vomiting and diarrhea may occur within one day, it may take several days to a week after your pet eats garlic for symptoms of anemia to appear. While mass consumption of garlic puts pets at high risk, your pet can also become poisoned after chronic ingestion of small amounts of garlic over a period of time.

Good for dogs with protein allergies
I stopped ordering these because they jacked up the price and I could find them cheaper elsewhere. The quality control is a bit hit/miss. Sometimes they pockets are quite dry and you have exert a bit of effort to make them work, but most of the time they are soft and easy. You just push the pill into the centre and pinch it shut. My dog takes gabapentin, and I can actually shove 2 pills into 1 pocket. The packaging is really dumb. Like, why are you packaging 2 together? Pack them individually or just leave them loose. You end up with a single that just sits around getting dry because you can't close it after you open the individual packaging. I just kind of fold the plastic and shove it into the pill container which seems to work but is a bit of a hassle. Unsure why they want me to rate the flavour, I'm not eating them. My dog eats them fine, but I have a lab and she will anything except for lettuce, and even lettuce if it has some dressing on it. The scent is fine, not overpowering, not that it really matters much to me. The key points, will my dog eat it? yes. Can you stick pills inside? yes. Is it a good deal? Not anymore. I won't pay more than $10/bag, but there was a point when they were $7.99. I think they are like ~$15 as I write this.

Meh
These have good ingredients, and I thought they’d be a better choice than greenies. But my dog, who normally loves anything I feed her, doesn’t seem very fond of these at all. Also, they are really huge. I guess that’s great if you have a really large pill to feed your dog or multiple pills, but for my little Chihuahua it’s just an awful lot of treat to get a pill down. For larger dogs, this clearly isn’t a concern. But I’ve actually had far more success just rubbing a little soft cat food on the pill and handing it to her. She feels like she’s getting away with something. Unfortunately, the one and only treat she simply doesn’t want to eat is anything made by greenies, so they aren’t much of an option either.

Great solution for stubborn pooches who won't take their meds.
These worked very well after my hound surgically removed her pills from her food before eating. The honey flavored one works slightly better as they are softer and mould around the pill easier and more securely. I was able to push the pill into half a treat without having to make a hole first, which again makes the extra softness/moistness of this specific flavor more appealing. All the flavors taste good to the dog, but this one is more convenient for the owner. Have bought multiple times already.

Do not recommend, will not buy again.
Flavour: Grilled beef and gingerI hate these, and my dog turns her nose up at them half the time I try to get her to take her meds. They are a bit crumbly and do a mediocre job of wrapping around a medium sized tablet (way to big to use two of them like suggested, at least for my small/medium sized dog), and I really HATE that they are individually wrapped because the small plastic bags are awkward to open and it's a bunch of extra garbage. Do not recommend, will not buy again. I have bought other things from this brand that we liked, just not these.
