APS Black 6 Inches Tubular Drop Down Style Nerf Bars Running Boards Compatible with Ram 1500 2019-2024 Crew Cab (Will Not Fit 2018 Previous Generation Build in 19-24)

These did not fit tight as shown in the pictures. As manufacturered, these hang down 1.5” below the body. I cut the mounts apart, raised the hanger 1.25”, and then welded them back together. They look so much better now. You can see my before and after pictures.

Instruction manual is horrible, took me a couple days to figure out how to use all the brackets and get steps mounted to them. Steps are not as sturdy as I thought the would be, I’m only 190 pounds and when stepping on them, they have a lot of movement. If you purchase this product, I did a short YouTube video to help save others time(2020 Ram Crew Cab APS Slider Rock Steps). Other than that they look good.

Cons-The instructions weren't the clearest to follow but i was able to figure it out over a few hours time. This was not my first side step install and it still took me quite a few hours to piece together.-About half of the Nylon nuts stripped during tightening (i was careful not to overtighten, just snug).-Fitment was not as pictured. The steps do not fit up against the bottom of the truck, they hang about 1-2inches leaving a gap.-I received 2 Driver side center brackets instead of 1 Driver and 1 Passenger, they appear to be somewhat interchangeable due to assembly, made the instructions a bit more difficult to follow.Pros-They are pretty sturdy once put together-They look nice on the truck (would like the gap not to be there)

My comments are about the good and what could be a much better product:Good - Assembly and installation is easy, watch the video from iArmor and you will be ready for the paper instructions. It just takes a little time. Delivery was 1 day prior to promissed date, good since the package was shipped from Ontario to Florida. The steps look nice and they really helps climb into this monster truck (Rebel).What could be better - Hopefully the manufacturer will consider these suggestions; see pictures. 1. the width of the step is less than 5”. This width could increase by 1.5 to 2 inches so it is easier & safer to step down. There is plenty of room to make the steps wider since the truck mirrors allow it. 2. The width of the bar is 1”. Increasing this width by 1” to 2” specially in the rear end would allow to step on the bar to reach into the back of the truck. 3. The rear end piece is only 10” long, it would be great to make it 15” and as mentioned in item 2 make the bar size a 2” or 3” wide. A stronger support in the rear would be required (e.g use the 3 bolts not 2), but these changes would make a great stepping bar and utility bar at the same time to reach the rear end of the truck.All in all, I like the design, it is good but could be great.

First, the actually quality of the steps themselves is really good. Nice, strong, sturdy steel.The good: If you don't inspect them closely, they look really nice. The step itself is really high quality and I like the way they look.The bad: They hang down lower than the pictures makes it look. The instructions were really horrible and the parts were not all labeled correctly. The video shows completely different parts than what I received. See below.The ugly: Because they decided to make cheaper, crappy mounting brackets with only two holes instead of three, that mount to the truck, it made the installation a huge pain. After 3 hours I still cannot get the rear the same height distance from the body as the front. This was a HUGE pain. If is wasn't so much work, I would have yanked these off and sent them back. Im just going to live with them the way they are. Not really happy with the final results though.

Disappointed. First off, it did not contain the correct parts. I received double the parts for the passenger side as pictured so I would not have been able to install the driver’s side. Instructions are mislabled. The non-english speaker packer seems to not be able tell the difference between an F and an R. Hence many labels are incorrect. I am also disappointed with the messiness of the welds. Couldn’t be bothered to grind them down at all. And oh yeah, the screws to mount it to the truck were 80% missing.

I love the design. It is very functional and attractive. These are as sturdy as any factory units. On my 2020 Ram 1500 the brackets bolt directly to the factory installed mounting studs. HOWEVER, the M6 lock nuts supplied are extremely poor quality. They strip easily and there are no spares. I plan on purchasing enough quality lock nuts to replace them all. Installation is not difficult just time consuming especially since the directions appear to have been printed on a laser printer that was low on toner.These step running boards significantly reduce ground clearance which may be important for off-road use.

The install was easy, just one minor problem with the documentation. But a quick email to support solved the issue.It took me about 70 minutes to install it. Your mileage may vary. I really like the steps, the work great, they look great. One downside is that it will definitely reduce the clearance height when going offroad, but I don't do that very often.
