Hoping itll Save my Waroqueanum
Great substrate for you amphibians of course but I bought this for my Anthuriums and plants. I am hoping this saves my Waroqueanum that died down all the way to a stump. ice and airy and lightweight. hoping it well be great for a variety of plants that require less dense soil substrate. However this small bag is not a good price. I know this stuff is pricey but its made in the advert to look like a huge bag this is abut the size of a small back back. there is a lot in here and if used sparingly should last you awhile but if you had a large plant this one bag would be it. Manufacture should have other size options also as I only plan to use this for my anthuriums so 50 buck each i want to use buy this is by far the most expensive substrate I've ever purchased and I thought pon was going to be my budget killer

Works great as a part of my substrate mix!!
I used this product after being recommended it as a part of an all-purpose, bioactive substrate for my terrariums and isopod culture. It's texture is really nice to work with, and I love that it's sustainably harvested compared to something like peat moss (which absolutely ruins bogs!) This tree fern is advertised as a product you could use alone instead of peat moss/typical soil, which is something I agree with! It seems like it holds moisture really well while still draining nicely.I will say that for some reason, my cats REALLY loved the stuff...???? As soon as I brought the bag inside, they were both rubbing on it and nonstop sniffing it, the way they both react with catnip. It's only a plus in my book, though I thought it was really funny! For obvious safety reasons, I didn't let them get in contact with the actual tree fern, or ingest it.The only criticism I might have is the price- I bought it at roughly $30 a bag, which as a part of a mix is perfectly fine, since I still have plenty left over. But if you were to use this as a substitute for a soil substrate or for something like pots or a bed, it's considerably cheaper to get an all purpose potting soil. Otherwise, it's fabulous!

Plants Thrive With This
First, it seems expensive for a soil substrate. However, factor in what it does and it is totally worth the investment. This stuff is light and can be fluffed to gain some volume. It does not compact around the roots of your plants but holds just enough moisture so there is less incidence for root rot. In the long run you keep a healthy plant instead of the expense of replacing one

Love this substrate, but a little pricey
While I wish this was cheaper, I know it's not common or easy to get. That said, I love the texture it adds, particularly when mixed with other substrates (usually topsoil and/or coco fiber) and it's a lovely feature for my bioactive reptile enclosures.

Great for ABG mix. But pricey for the size
Just what I needed for my ABG mix substrate for my reptile enclosures. It’s really expensive in my opinion. Wish they would provide a bigger bag of this stuff but I guess it is what it is. Buy it if you really need it
