Saved me from needing to visit the dentist during the pandemic
It does what it's supposed to, and does it pretty well, though it only lasts a couple years before the battery starts to go and the coating starts to get icky and tacky. I'm now on my third one, use it daily (on the red+blue setting) and it keeps my gums healthy and happy. When I first buy one, the charge usually lasts for 5 days, then eventually it drops to 4 and finally 3... and then a while after that I get a new one.The cons: charging is kind of a pain, it seems to work best if I don't plug in the USB end of the cable all the way. It also blinks the entire time it's charging. You want to cover it up or put it someplace you won't see it, because the blue light WILL hurt your eyes, and not just in the "painful to look at and creates a huge yellow spot in your vision" way.Seriously, they should have it be red light only for charging, so you don't damage people's vision. At least you'll know when to charge it by the way it blinks instead of turning on when you try to use it, so you can check if you need to charge it by seeing if it turns on again after you use it. (Unfortunately, the blinking is also blue, so I hide the lit part behind one palm when doing this test so it doesn't hurt my eyes.)The other minor issue is that the instructions tell you to dry your mouth before using it. I don't do this because I can't - I salivate so much that just having the thing in my mouth at all will have it drenched in no time. So I have to carefully rinse off the in-the-mouth part after each use. I've considered using plastic wrap or something to cover it, but that'd be quite a pain as well, and at this point I've got some skill at moving it around under the faucet in such a way that the main body doesn't get wet, at least most of the time. Luckily, stray drops just make it turn on, but again, that's when you get searing blue light in your eyes followed by yellow spots.Seriously, I really wish they would make it work red-light-first, with blue light only on the second touch. If they did that and did red for charging too, the entire thing would be much safer because it'd be almost impossible to end up with the blue light in your eyes by accident. (Yes, I get that some people only want the blue light for tooth lightening purposes, but that doesn't mean you can't just have one tap for red, two for blue, and three for red+blue, or some other ordering. Just require more than one tap for blue, that's all I ask.)

Loved it until it stopped working
I was diagnosed with gum disease, and purchased this to mitigate further gum deterioration. Did see improvement in symptoms and gum health when using twice daily. However, the unit stopped working within the first two weeks, and would no longer charge. Would not recommend based on inability to return defective items.Update:The seller reached out and provided us with a brand new unit. The replacement has been working great so far Have achieved improvement in gum health since using.

Overall Satisfied
I bought this product when looking for something to help my gingivitis. I've gotten the tooth paste, soft bristled brush, gotten teeth professionally clean, I floss, brush teeth, use mouthwash, all products specialized for bleeding gums, etc. Basically, I was on Amazon looking for something to help with my bleeding gums and I came across this. I was, and still am, a bit skeptical about the claim that red light is beneficial for gums. But overall, I love using this thing!I've had it for a few weeks now so results are not certain, but for a moment it seemed like my bleeding gums have stopped!! I've also used the whitening function when a teeth whitening gel, and I think it's lifted some yellow surface stains I had.Pros:Good costsDecent qualityLittle, cute, and compact.Seems like it might actually workLooks cool when using red light because it glows through cheeks.Reusable, so a lot cheaper than the disposable whitening treatments I was buying before.Has not yet caused me sensitive teeth, which most whitening methods do.Cons:The button is VERY sensitive so I'm always hitting the thing before putting it in my mouth, especially since the instructions encourage not looking directly at the light, wearing sunglasses, and putting it in mouth before turning on. (If starlite reads this, please fix it that's my only suggestion)A bit difficult to clean without getting the battery compartment wet. Have managed so far because instructions say to avoid, but perhaps it's easier if it were possible to remove the teeth tray, clean, then put back on.When charging, it glows the whole time. Kind of annoying, I've covered it up when I don't want to see it glow (Hey but that could also be a pro for some people: 2-in-1 teeth whitener and potential night light!)Also I was not able to find any endorsement from the ADA endorsement on red light for gum disease, or this product, but maybe I didn't look hard enough.Overall, it's a good product for the price point. There's a few things I think need fixing, but nothing that isn't manageable. I don't know how long it will last me, or if I'll change my mind in a few months. But a few weeks in and I like it enough to leave a long Amazon review instead of studying for finals.

READ TO AVOID A FIRE! SERIOUSLY!! Loved this until it almost burned my place down
WARNING: Electrical Short Circuit Risk! The two magnetic pins used to charge this device are EXTREMELY dangerous!!!!In my experience, after disconnecting the device from the charger, I left the charger plugged in without considering the METAL stand it was resting on. Unfortunately, the two exposed magnetic pins were attracted to the metal stand, and because the charger was still powered, it caused a short circuit. This type of short circuit caused the cord to overheat and literally MELT into the metal stand. Luckily, while i was searching for another cord, I felt something extremely hot on my hand and saw that the charger head was slowly melting!!! If I hadn't caught this when I did, there's NO DOUBT that it absolutely would've caused a fire!! 1000%.The design of this charging mechanism poses a SERIOUS SAFETY RISK and should be used with great caution, but they really should not be used at all! Before this happened, I loved the product! It was extremely comfortable and lasted for over 3 years. The product itself is great, however it's not worth the safety risk. Unfortunately, this has a major CON that outweighs all the PROS.
