Amazon knows the vehicles I own & is typically great at telling me if the product I’m buying will fit my vehicle or not, so when I saw the green box that says “this will fit your 2020 4 Runner”, I bought this sunshade. The new 2020 4Runner however, comes with Toyota Safety Sense, which has sensors & cameras under the rear view mirror. When first trying to put the sunshade in, it would not fit properly at all & realized that it was not cut to fit around the Safety Sense mechanism - not even a little... In turn, I had to return this sunshade.

Upon arrival, feeling it in my hand, I was very surprised at how thick each panel was and how sturdy it felt folded up. Definitely the most durable sunshade I had ever bought. Putting it up in my 2020 4Runner, It fit great, not perfect. The 2020 4Runner has a camera sensor by the Front rear view mirror that fills the big space that others have complained about, but does not fill it entirely. I was worried my VanTrue Dash camera would prevent me from using this sunshade, but since my dash cam is attached with a ball head, when I put up the sunshade it just pushes the camera tilt up a bit, and when I take it down, I just readjust the camera, takes 1 second. Because the dash cam creates a little space between windshield and sunshade, not allowing it to be flat, the problem of the sides not reaching all the way was cut down a lot in my opinion. I'm very happy with this purchase and wish I bought it sooner.

Having a windshield screen in the southwest is an absolute must. I have used the generic curl up ones for nearly 15 years and when I got my new car decided it was time to get a custom fit shield.The good is that it fits absolutely perfect and blocks out nearly all the sunlight. This of course keeps my car much cooler during the day. The build on this is really heavy duty (see the minor down side) and I expect it to last for years.The only down side (not enough I wouldn't buy this one again) is that it doesn't collapse down as much as the generic ones so it takes up more room in the back seat when I'm driving.All things considered I would absolutely buy this one again.

Purchased for our 5th gen 4runner. I've bought directly from CoverCraft in the past and the ship time was a bit lengthy so when I found it on Amazon and had it here in two days I was thrilled. As far as the product it is top notch. Here in Vegas is like living on the surface of the sun so this bad boy definitely keeps the car much cooler and prevents the steering wheel from burning our finger prints off our hands. I saw people complaining about how it doesnt fit flush to the sides of the windshield and leaves an inch gap. Well that is sort of true but if you simply grab the center of the cover near the rear view mirror and pull it up snug against the visors (which should already be down) it seals up that gap nicely. All in all, get ya one for each vehicle you have especially if you live in the desert. This cover coupled with dark tint will help out drastically plus they look awesome from the exterior!

Other reviewers are saying that it doesn't fit with 4Runners with Safety Sense. Maybe it depends on trim, but with the TRD ORP, it fits, just not perfectly. It is butted up against the sensor enclosure, it just doesn't seem like a nice custom fit. I'm more put off by the gaps on the sides, but I guess they put them there to avoid hitting the A pillars and dirtying/damaging the soft headliner fabric.For the price, it should come with a bag, or even better, some snaps or magnets that would help it stay folded up. I see on their website you can pay $20 more for a higher end one that comes in patterns and with a bag.From what I can tell this is the best option available for 4Runners, unfortunately.

I have usually bought those generic Wal-Mart sunscreens but they never fit right and tend to fade over time. I found this sunscreen and thought I would give it a try. It is well made and fits my Toyota 4Runner very well. There is only a little gap on both sides of the windshield and around the rear view mirror. I got the rose color and it looks good on the Barcelona red metallic paint. I do think it is overpriced for what it is. It appears to be heavy cardboard slats sewn together with a flexible covering. I am concerned about the durability, however, if it fits well and lasts in the Texas sun for a few years I'll be happy. I recommend this sunscreen for the Toyota 4Runner. Chris

There's gaps on the sides if you place this against the windshield of the 2021 4runner. The gaps are 2 inches wide so its noticeable when you look at it.That defeats the purpose of this product which is to block all sunlight going thru the windshield so the vehicle does not get hot. Leaving a 2 inch gap on the sides doesn't really help block the sunlight. I do not recommend this sunscreen cover to anyone. If you're paying $60 for sunscreen it better do a darn good job or at least $60 worth of sun-blocking.

For this price range, I expect a perfect fit which means less than 0.1 inch tolerance. The one that I received was short by a good 1" plus across the windshield. I have had other products from this company that were very close to perfect fit (less than 0.1 inch) where perfect fit means no light from edge to edge of the windshield. Either this is a bad one off design or their manufacturing specs are off. Either case, this is barely a "4 star" product for this price range. I will be on look out for future reviews before I buy this company again. I have a 2021 4Runner Limited.
