So good I bought it twice!
The book is terrific and the advice practical. I had bought it on Audible and valued the information so much that I bought the print version to easily refer to. The chapter where she speaks of Uber drivers in California introducing themselves as musicians and actors was very impactful to me as she points out you have to identify yourself what you want to be identified rather than only your current role. The book is quite funny, but my main complement is that it is thoughtful and useful.

Insightful! Highly recommend.
I stumbled across this book through nonfiction author Anne Janzer's site. Anne always recommends solid books, and so I picked this up. It sounded interesting. Like many women, I am a member of what Meredith calls the Qualified Quiet. I am also an introvert. As I have taken my creative work into the world, I have felt that tussle of learning how to manage feelings of discomfort and wishing to stay hidden to keep safe. But as I have gotten better at it, I have realized that real safety is in taking up space. This book will help you take up more space. I found it insightful, compassionate and conscientious. It's not one of those books that tell you how to " dominate the world." It's for those people who want to make a real impact, a real difference through their work. Bragging better is about claiming the space that is yours to claim instead of shrinking as a lot of quiet people and especially women often do. This book has actionable, ethical and thoughtful advice. I found it nuanced and I really liked the case that Meredith makes for bragging better -- If we don't want different aspects of the world to be taken over by the loud but unqualified, the Qualified Quiet does need to take up more space. I also really liked that this book had examples from all sorts of people and actually demonstrated the diversity in its examples --from people of color, LGBTQIA -- that most people and organizations just pay lip service to. Highly recommend!

I need to buy 5 more copies of this book!
I would consider myself a member of what Brag Better calls 'The Qualified Quiet'. I am the colleague who shows up early, does all my work, takes on additional responsibilities, and waits/hopes others, especially my higher ups will notice my work. Highlighting my accomplishments has always felt awkward. I've felt guilty and egotistical, and I could not understand how/why I was putting in all this work, and not seeing it reflected in my career ladder or my salary. The book notes that many of us were brought up not to brag, or put ourselves forward, and we've internalized that. I am just halfway through this book at this point, and I've already gained an incredible amount of insight and tools for highlighting my work and my next salary negotiation. I am learning to be loud, proud, and strategic, and show off my value and coming off as self-promotional. I want to buy this book for pretty much every woman I know. I would also recommend the bonus chapter on the author's podcast.

Love the book, but used copy not accurately depicted
Terrific read I’ve recommended to many! My used hard copy however arrived without its dust jacket. Product description didn’t mention lost dust jacket. The book’s cover depicted only on the dust jacket is part of its allure. Bummed.

You *Must* Buy This Book!!!
This is a must read for any woman that still needs to find her voice! I am a young professional and despite my knowledge/expertise, I always find myself downplaying my accomplishments and preferring to remain in the background. No more! This book has given me the concrete tools to specifically tailor my communications about my skills and contributions to the team, and really play up my wins. Not only is this book a useful tool, but it's also wickedly entertaining. I heard Fineman on a podcast last year, and immediately pre-ordered the book and followed her on instagram @meredithfineman. Do the same, and you will not be disappointed! Her humor, candor, and relatability that shine through in this book can also be found there on her page. She truly does share the best memes, has killer style, and might have the most sassy/adorable pup out there #hibean! Buy this book and join me as we wait to see was Fineman does next.

Brag less?
There is good information in this book. But when you are constantly bragging about your book instead of talking about how the reader can brag better it feels like a waste of time. It is 50% her bragging about all that the book can do for you and 50% of actionable information.
