Fantastic Bins! And A Recommendation Of 4 Others....... See Photos~
UPDATED - Love these baskets! If you're interested in checking out some other Sterilite bins that have also been awesome for our use... Here is a link on 4 different types and sizes I've purchased here on Amazon and reviewed with photos: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1NH4O00NZKU6A/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B002BA5F5C These baskets are excellent in that they fit our closet, laundry, pantry, and linen closet shelves perfectly (as reviews here with photos already show). The shape allows you to maximize on space and provides a nice, clean look. (The others are excellent because they're stackable which is great if you plan on moving anytime in the future. If you head over to the link above, you can see more of what I mean and what I recommend each of them for.) We use these baskets in lieu of laundry baskets because the size works better for us. We hang dry at least half of every load so the bigger ones are just not necessary for us. These being taller still hold quite a bit too. Uploading some photos so you can see what I mean. It depends how small you fold your clothes (we file folded t-shirts vertically in drawers so we can see all of them; this means we fold them into quarters vertically) but what you're seeing are my Small to Medium sized tops and my husband's 2XL shirts, to give you an idea of size. Excellent value for under $20 for the six; you can't go wrong! Handles and all are sturdy and washable. Purchased a set for my family and my mom's. Would definitely recommend to others! Smile. Hope this helps! UPDATE - It is now March, 2017 and we've had these in use since 2015. They've been used for toting things during moves and so much more and are still holding up great. We have two kittens that are six months old and weigh six lb each. They both easily fit inside one and love these baskets too. 😸 After discovering one of their favorite new games, they now meow for me to let them play this because they need some help to start (but not to finish), lol. "Deep" size option, if you're interested. I'm uploading a video so you can see their game. This is Tiger-lily (white female) and Tank (brown male) and they are siblings.

Love how well these are working out
I bought these to replace old fabric bins. I have some Costco bin units that are about 14 years old and the fabric bins are looking ratty. I bought these to use as replacements for the fabric bins. These fit the width spot on and the height is just a few inches shorter than the space. That being said I love how these are working for replacement drawers. The look is nice and uniform, very sturdy, They hold a lot without getting distorted too! Great value for how little it costs!

excellent solution for bathroom storage
I bought the 12 pack for bathroom storage and organization. I have a small cart with three shelves (I didn't put the wheels on; I just use it as a shelf) and two of these will fit on each shelf, with some room around the sides. So for six of the baskets, I've grouped like items (e.g., hair products, body lotions, nail polish remover, etc.) and put them on the shelves. This is a much better organizational scheme than throwing everything in a pile on one of the shelves and should actually result in me buying fewer duplicate items (I found two very large bottles of rubbing alcohol as I was organizing my stuff in these, because one was buried underneath a bunch of other junk). Inside, these are about the size of a sheet of typing paper. Since I am standing various cosmetic and personal care items up in them, they are big enough for my purposes. The sides are high enough that everything will stand up, which means they can hold more items. There are holes on the sides but not the bottom. So they should catch most spills or leaks and then I can just wash the baskets off (which is why I went with plastic instead of another material). To summarize the previous two paragraphs, if you are super messy and unorganized like I am, these can be very useful. All the baskets were in good shape and they didn't have a plastic smell when I opened the box. The gray parts on the handles make them comfortable to hold, even if the contents are heavy. The uniform appearance of the baskets makes my collection of stuff in the bathroom look neater and more organized (have family coming to town soon so this is important). I am not sure these would be appropriate for carrying around something super heavy (like dumbbells? I don't know what is that small and heavy) but they can handle quite a few bottles of liquid at a time (full sized mouthwash and rubbing alcohol, for example) without becoming deformed from the weight. I still have six of these left. I am going to organize a few more cosmetic items in my closet and the rest will go in various places in the house to store my collection of protein powders and preworkout supplements, beading tools, or whatever else is fairly small and needs to be grouped together. Very happy with the purchase.

Very nice containers!
When I ordered these I had thoughts in mind of using them to construct some self-watering garden containers; but, boy oh boy, when they arrived I just couldn't bring myself to butcher them up that way. These are some really nice containers and my wife certainly has a better use for them than I did: they have become storage places for her inventory of jewelry. It took her all of half a second to lay claim to them when I told her I wouldn't be using them. For those unfamiliar with self-watering containers, the idea is nothing new; in fact my mother had some flower pots she bought in the 1940's and 1950's that were constructed to be self-watering. The pots were made of clay with a bowl that reached about a third of the way up the side of the pot. The entire item was fired from a single piece of clay and there were holes at the base of the pot, but inside the bowl, so that water from the bowl could be drawn up into the soil in the pot to keep it from drying out. Of course, they weren't truly self-watering since an eye had to be kept on the water level in the bowl so it could be kept from running out of water. Well, the modern self-watering boxes work on the same principle and are just as effective as those old pots. They also require the same diligence in keeping the water level high enough. At any rate, these containers were spared the pain and disfigurement of being cut and/or drilled to be used in such a project...for now anyway. I may place a future order for another set of these and perform the requisite surgery to build a container garden. In the meantime my wife is happy that she ended up with them, and that means I am happy she ended up with them.

Just awesome...
I love these bins. I bought these bins to use in my pantry thinking I would never use all 12 but there such an awesome size and come in so handy I am going to purchase another set of 12. I have 3 little ones under 5 and this bins organize everything from books to toiletries. 1 bin can hold up to 20 Thomas the train wooden trains or 15 trackmasters trains or 15 dvd/blu rays in their case. These bins are perfect for holding board books and the step into reading books. It also fits neatly into bookcases. Extremely useful in the pantry too. I use one for all the fruit snack and fruit roll ups, one for the snack size chips, one for the cracker snacks and one for granola snacks. My kindergartener and preschooler need a lot of snacks and treats for class. So we purchases multiple boxes at a time. Each child has one for his own toiletries. This is worth every penny. I highly recommend it.

Helpful for organizing
I am on a quest to organize my home and make it more streamlined in 2014. I am using these baskets to categorize things in my refrigerator and cupboards. I know it sounds over-the-top, but when there are lots of hands putting things in and taking things out, having organized/labeled baskets makes things easier to find and easier to put back in their proper places. My favorite basket use in my refrigerator is for leftovers. Leftovers in our house are more likely to get eaten and not wasted/thrown out when the containers are stacked in the Leftovers Basket. I can see when the Leftovers Basket starts to fill up and it needs to be a Leftovers night. The other day, I was particularly happy to be using these baskets, as something spilled in the Leftovers Basket. Because there is a little clearance between the bottom of the basket and the bottom row of holes, the spill was contained in the basket. Instead of having to clean my entire refrierator (because the spill would have dripped down to the shelves below), I only had to clean out the one basket. YAY! I docked a star because the gray handle covers come off easily and don't reattach with super glue. Generally, though, these baskets have been sturdy enough for my intended purpose. I hope this review is helpful!

One of my best all time organizers!
I am an organizer! I must have 40 of these and they are great! In our bedroom, a custom built-in cabinet holds 24 of these and takes the place of dresser drawers. (And yes, we built it with these in mind so we could make the most of our space!) So much more convenient and wow can we store a lot! We had to get creative since our closets are small. In our former house I used them in my big closet to hold things like underwear, scarves, purses, etc. With a small laundry behind bifold doors, they sit atop the cabinet for sorting dirty clothes and when a basket is full to overflowing, well there’s the load, ready to launder. Just today I discovered 2 of them fit side by side perfectly in my LG bottom pull-out freezer so I can keep meats separate from veggies and sides and I can lift the baskets out to find things hiding in the bottom of each basket. No wasted space. They exactly fit my freezer. BTW smaller sterlite baskets help me keep the pull-out tray at the top of the freezer organized with other frozen items. Grandkids use these baskets under their bunkbeds to unpack their suitcases or hold their dirty clothes when visiting. Other baskets under the bunkbeds hold toys, bed linens, etc. My sewing/craft room closet is also organized using these baskets. Fabric, sewing supplies, things needing mended, ribbons, etc. I am constantly thinking of more uses for these baskets. They are great for transporting things in the car, too. Not as big as a laundry basket, so just take note of the measurements to be sure they will fit your needs. I’m telling you, they are so versatile! In writing this review I have thought of a few more places I can use some more. Guess I’ll be ordering. LOL
