Ok I'm not gonna be to hard on the product... I got the 3000 model.... I did catch bass with it.. it does operate as it should...... ok here's my issues so far, I fish almost every day. I have very nice combos made by Abu Garcia and quantum.... this reel is nice once out of box and worked good for a few fishing trips... the speed is accurate, the handle is a little lose/ some play, the bearings are making lots of noise now and the grip squeaks as you retrieve. ...... I only bought this real to do a real life test on it bc some of the reviews are from people who dont fish alot and have there reels stored all week.. hope this helps.. get yells. BUtts out and fish and throw the bass back so we can catch again one day... best cheap reel I've found so far was a ( yongzhi) best comfort and strong comes with two spools.

I bought this after I found out my ocean spin reel I previously had seized up and was on my way for another fishing trip and needed something inexpensive and quick. I bought this, its definitely from Japan has no English writing anywhere on the packaging or reel itself. It served its purpose I actually caught a 25 pound stingray and a 22 pound guitarfish using it. I was expecting it to be a little bigger than it was but it held 60 pound braid pretty well actually. Not a bad reel at all and still works after several dunks in saltwater but I don't see it lasting much longer.

This reel is ok for light use. Not a saltwater reel by any means. No stainless parts( since coated steel) drag is ok at best. If you by this reel or any reel . Here are some mandatory steps. Disassemble, pack with grease where it’s needed and oil bearings. Every reel I have bought and tested in the last year comes with little to no grease or oiled components. As we all know this means failure!! I have tried big and small companies reels and they are all the same dry. This is a good reel for light to medium use, not in saltwater and must clean and lube up regularly. Have fun and fish on!! Update on this fishing reel. Failed after 2 weeks of medium to heavy use with rinsing, cleaning and lube every other day ( 10 days total use)

Bought one of these for ice fishing based on the price point alone. For my purposes, icing perch and sunnies, it performed very well on my last 4 outings. Drag worked well even in the cold. Because it worked so well, I just ordered another in the 3000 size to try on my travel rod.

Nice smooth action. The mounting bracket arms are a bit wide and will not fit all fishing poles. Fortunately, I had a nice pole it did fit and I am very happy with the reel.

I bought this reel in the 6000 version for a week-long trip of saltwater fishing. The reel was very smooth and operated as it should but towards the end of the week it became noisy and you could tell the inner mechanisms had begun rusting. I rinsed the reel thoroughly with fresh water after every use but still came to this result. It is still usable, but I doubt I will use it again because of how noisy and "grindy" it is when you reel. Overall it got the job done just mediocre quality

I finally got to try this reel out for some night time crappie fishing. Spooled it up with some 4 lb test kast king on a light action Ugly and ended up catching only one good slab on the night. I did however reel in about 10 stripers. All between 14"-20" long, probably about 3-5 lbs. Drag worked out excellent for me on the larger ones. I like this reel better than any others I have ever used. I just ordered another one, but the 4000 so I can up the lbs on my line.
