The candy canes have a strong peppermint taste. The color is more pink than red as in traditional artificial colored canes. I bought them to eat and to crush them, so I could use in them in a white chocolate fudge. The Amazon packaging (bubble wrap mailer) needs to be upgraded to a cardboard box as these candy canes are fragile. The taste is a little different from the candy canes I grew up with but still tasty enough to buy them again. The main draw for me is that they are dye and artificial flavor free and made with ingredients that I can eat within my food restrictions.

These are so yummy! It’s great to have a company making clean candy! The ingredients are better than most and they are allergen friendly! No corn syrup or food dyes! I love peppermint so these are a year round treat for me 😁

Yum Earth candy is the best, real ingredients, real candy, like when I was a kid in the 70's.

I really like the candy canes YumEarth makes. I've tried all three of the candy cane varieties they produced this past Christmas, and all of them have tasted good. I would definitely recommend their full size candy canes to anyone who's looking for allergy friendly options. I might also recommend these mini candy canes, but I would need to explain a few potential problems with them first.The first potential problem is that they seem very breakable. This ended up being a good thing for me, since it made it easier to eat the whole thing at once without having to break it myself, but it is either very difficult to get an entire mini candy cane out of the package intact or else they have the tendency to break in-transit. The larger variety of candy canes made by this brand we're not quite as breakable, so maybe try to purchase those ones if that's something that matters to you.The second potential issue is related to the first. It is a bit difficult to unwrap the mini candy canes. Much more difficult than it was to unwrap the full size candy canes from the same brand. Again, this wasn't really an issue for me, but it might have partially influenced how breakable the candy canes were.I did have one other issue with this product, however it might have just been due to where the item was stored before being shipped to me, and may have been out of the control of the seller. The candy cane box had a really strong smell when I got it (reminiscent of scented laundry detergent or a really strong air freshener). It gave me some problems due to my allergies. The scent didn't seem to have transfered to the candy canes though, so overall this was just a minor annoyance (I moved the candy canes to a ziplock bag after opening the box and had no problems with them after doing so). This was not an issue I had with any of the boxes of full size candy canes I purchased in a store, just the box of mini candy canes I purchased from Amazon.

Looking for a better choice ? I love candy canes, however, don’t want to eat chemicals. These are the best alternative I’ve found. They taste great! I think they are a great value, because I won’t eat the others. These are small /mini canes - but they do make a full size. Great product. Only sticky when they get wet.

I’m a fan of this brand as they don’t put dyes and other junk in the ingredients but it was very disappointing to receive these expensive candy canes and find that each one was broken. The packaging was probably the culprit as they were all un-lodged from their little slots in the box, but also, Amazon sent the box in a large and flimsy paper bag so there was really no hope of them making it in one piece. At least they are still in their cane shape because of the individual plastic wrappers so they can still hang on the tree.

Clean ingredients! Kids love them! Parents, too!

Upon arrival, my candy canes were broken, but this posed no problem as I planned to crush them for topping sweet treats. If intending to decorate your tree or use for other purposes, consider in-store purchases. Annually, I prepare keto-friendly fudge using sugar-free chocolate and almond butter, mixed with peppermint extract and topped with crushed candy canes. These candy canes avoided artificial dyes, provided the desired crunch, and tasted normal. Their hardness matched traditional candy canes. I'm satisfied and highly recommend, appreciating the beautiful colors without toxic red 40.
