I have used syringes of different sizes for over 40 years, and have found that those with a rubber plunger do not last very long. I have used syringes with a silicone ring for a few years, but have not recently been able to find this type of syringe. Personally, I prefer the syringes with the silicone plunger ring. This syringe seems comparable to the ones I have used that had a silicone ring, but it does not slide as easily. The suction on these syringes works as well as the rubber plunger types but last much longer. I currently use these syringes for measuring liquid fertilizer to the plants I grow. Most fertilizers will recommend either tsps. and will sometimes recommend ml. measurements. When tsp. measurements are recommended, 5 ml is the equivalent. So, 2 tsp. would be 10 ml. etc. I also find these syringes useful for measuring fungicides and organic insecticides I use on my plant when diluted into water. These syringes are easy to clean, and are packaged separately to keep them sterile if needed. These syringes would be useful for any purpose that requires measurements by either ml or tsp. including medications for pets. Although these syringes are better than those with the rubber ring, they stick after a couple of uses. Dipping the ring in the solution you are using them for helps to lubricate them so they don't stick so much. I will update this review if my opinion changes. UPDATE 09/29/25: As mentioned previously, I have used 10 ml syringes with the silicone ring for quite a few years, previously for feeding parrot babies and now to measure fertilizers for the plants I grow. These syringes work well for a couple of uses and then pulling and pushing the plunger becomes very difficult. I have tried dipping the plunger in the fertilizer which helps a bit, but the syringes are still don't last as long or work as well as those with the silicone ring. I did find some 10 ml syringes with silicone rings. So now I am a happy camper. These syringes are fine if you plan to use them only once or twice, but they really don't work well for extended use. I have reduced my star rating from 5 to 4 since these syringes are good for a single use or possibly twice, but they are difficult to use after than. If you use them only once, they may be a 5 star product for you. I hope this review was helpful for you.

Plungers are hard to push sometimes. Also since there isnt a rubber plunger sometimes the liquid leaks around the plunger seal.

I have a fuzzy kitty. These syringes made it easier to give his meds.
