You should probably keep browsing. I bought this in December, checked that it powered on and then it sat in my home office until this month, when I had a stack of graded papers to upload and it would not work. It keeps coding E3. I opened it and the inside was filthy. If this is renewed, then I'd hate to see what it looked like before they touched. Honestly, thought I could just clean it up and it would work, but it does not. I cleaned so much off the rollers...all of them had gunk and the glass had debris on it and under it for both sides of the scanning. I cleaned that all. I even checked the wiring and circuits, nothing bursting and no obvious breaks on the board. I tried three different USBs, even pulled out an old Intel Mac from the same era, and my old Lenovo and nothing. I tried VueScan, a really generic driver, and found a copy of the original drivers, nothing could make it scan. If something is "renewed" you have to have some standard of what that means. I've received items that are 100% clean to light scuffing, but this was the worst. I'm not sure it was even tested, because I can see any reason for E3 error. I spent $140 for mine and it was a waste of money and more importantly my time from cleaning and trying every combo of computer and driver I had. I'm less than a month out from the no return...which I had done more than turn it on when it came. Hard Pass.

I was hopeful this scanner would work out. Listing said it would be cleaned but I had to scrub it clean myself. Ad said it came with the feeder and exit ramp extensions but it came with neither. Ad said it came with power cord but the cord it came with did not have a solid connection to the scanner so it connected and disconnected repeatedly, like every few seconds, and resulted in the scan job being interrupted and nothing could ever get scanned. I returned it with the Amazon return procedures with absolute ease and my full purchase was credited just a few days after I sent it.

It was challenging to download the software from the Fujitsu website and then install it under Administrator account, but it worked. Later I found VueScan Professional software on the web. Free to try. It recognized my scanner quickly and tested very well.

PRODUCT DID ARRIVED. I HAD PAID THE ITEM IN FULL. AFTER USING IT FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS. THE SCANNER LOOSE ITS POWER AND ITS NOT WORKING. I HAD SENT AN EMAIL TO THE SELLER BUT, TO NO RESPONSE AT ALL. I AM PUTTING THIS INTO WRITING SO THAT YOU MAY REACH OUT TO ME AS A CONSUMER. I AM OPTIMISTIC THAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO RESOLVE THE SAID ISSUE. When I received this item it clearly showed being used heavily like it came out of the trash can. The scanner also keeps jamming. I am returning the item and requesting a full refund!
