Works well, I actually actually got this for my son.

This is NOT a gain antenna. Never expected it to be. It's mediocre. A decent unity-gain antenna would be MUCH longer. Instead, it's a solid upgrade from the rubber duck antenna on my handheld CB radio. I've not taken an antenna analyzer to it, yet, but it has gotten me improved reports on radio checks and improved reception. Sticks on top of my truck without flying off when travelling at 70 MPH or faster.
