Trircok QD Adapter Sling Stud to Picatinny Rail for Sling Swivel

I have bought these multiple times. They work great and lock in tight. They function flawlessly and look great. Don't hesitate to buy. Made in China. This is great because you can get high quality materials without paying 75% markup due to corporate greed, workman's compensation, health insurance etc that adds to the cost of nearly every US made product. If you want a high quality item for low price this is it. That being said if you want a quality product but also want to help buy a CEO his 2nd Bentley, feed the mouths of thousands of employees and also send their children to college then buy one from Daniel Defense. Or buy this one and donate $30 to the homeless.

Pleased at strength of hold once inserted. Unit does swivel 360 in a normal QD socket. This works great when you want to add a standard sling to a long gun, but have QD mounts like many AR15s. However, does require two hands to remove as it's push/pull design dictates. You push IN on the sling stud and pull UP on the collar portion simultaneously to release.

I originally bought this to test whether or not I could make my Harris-style bipod quickly detachable. At 0.6 oz, it seemed like a lightweight solution and perhaps its swiveling capability could allow the gun to pan. However, the stud detaches by pushing in on the end of the stud and pulling the whole thing out. Because a Harris bipod pulls the stud out, it is impossible to detach without loosening the bipod's screw. However, even if you were to do that, the prongs on the bipod's attachment system will hit the ring before the stud unlocks. Finally, even if you simply tried to use this as a permanent attachment system, the bipod only rests on the ring and not the QD socket, making for an unstable mount. The stud is also too long, which allows the prongs to work their way out if jiggled too much. Overall, this is a poor solution for the problem I was attempting to solve. I instead went with a fixed M-LOK stud, and it turns out that the bipod can be installed and removed in about 30 seconds or so, which is acceptable for my use case.I decided to still give it 3 stars because they did not make any claims that it was usable as a bipod mount and I was attempting to force it into a role for which it was not designed. I'm sure that as a QD sling mount, it would work fine.

Keep it in mind that these are sold as one sling stud so you need to order two. I made the mistake of just ordering one thinking it was a set. Oh well, I ordered another one and it will be here in a couple days. Works as needed and I’m happy with my purchase.

Used on my Oryx Chassis and fits in the stock.
