Great shed light
I have a small garden shed full of garden stuff. Every time I go in there, I always think there is going to be a snake in the back, even though there never has been one for 25 years.I wanted some kind of light in there and it is not wired. I found this shedlight roof vent and ordered one. My son installed it and it was really easy. We did carefully place the light so that it was located on the side of the roof that gets the most light throughout the day.It made a huge difference! I can clearly see the floor around the tool stand and I'm not worried about stepping on anything that might be alive. The vent does not leak. Bonus - the vent lets out a lot of the sweltering heat. And yes, I know snakes are good bla bla - I just don't want to step on one in the shed.

We bought two of these to replace a leaking skylight in our outdoor pool house (basically a bathroom). We ended up sending the second back because one provides plenty of light. I am also excited about the amount of air it allows in/out. It will tremendously in the summer.

Good Value
These are inexpensive single pieces of soft plastic, but for the price, it's fantastic. I bought two of these to install on top of a dog house and they worked beautifully, offering some light as well as ventilation. Installation was about as easy as you might expect. The only bad thing I can say is that they're a bit ugly, but you're not here for a designer item, are you?

Provides adequate light for a storage shed for a reasonable cost.
We do not have electricity in our 12' x 20' shed and needed better lighting. We replaced a damaged skylight with three of these transluscent vents. You can see how well-lighted the "rafter storage" is. In the last photo, the blinds on the small window are closed and you can see how much brighter it is in the areas where the transluscent vents are installed. The roofer had never seen these before but liked the idea. They were easy to install.

Really useful
This was a great option for lighting our shed. During the daytime our 4 vents in the 10x10 shed we built provide enough light to find most items. I recommended them to my son who has a shed that requires lights all the time.

Answer to our problem! We built a large playhouse for our daughter but had no electricity run to it. So it was very hot and muggy during the summer. And the interior of the house was a dark gray so this vent provided additional light along with ventilation.

Good product
I bought this for a storage shed and it lets in a good amount of light. The nailing flange is fairly flexible and deformed a bit when I nailed it on but it is more a cosmetic issue than a functional problem. If you install it correctly, the lower part of the flange is on top of your shingles and is visible.

Don't buy if you intend to use caulk
Nothing sticks to this thing! I though silicone caulk would stick to anything but it peels right off. Don't get this vent if you intend to use caulk for the installation. After multiple attempts at making it work I had to tear it out.
