Transcend 64GB JetFlash 820 USB 3.0 Flash Drive (TS64GJF820G)

I recently purchased a June 2012 13" Macbook Pro. The only 2 USB ports are rather close together. Most of the other USB drives I own will not fit if there is something plugged into the other USB port. Not the issue with these Transcend JetFlash drives. Tried testing the speed of this and not sure if I know what I'm doing but here are some of the readings. Write Speed around 25 MB/s and read speed around 115 megabits. Don't know if that is fast or not as I kind of really don't care. I just wanted to find one that wouldn't block the other USB port while using it and that it does well. One concern that I have though is when left plugged in it can get mildly warm for some reason.

The device is fully functional, and the data rates have been perfectly fine (16GB flash drives don't really demand excellence here). The color is great, and not too flashy. It's a muted gold.My real complaints are in the form of the drive. It's not simple to keep track of, because the loop is solely meant for a keyring, but the real issue is the cap. It doesn't clip on the back. Why? It sucks having to set it down on a nearby surface and hope I remember it. I don't have a good short-term memory. If the cap could attach to the back of it, I'd be a lot happier with the product. As it is, it's a frequent issue for me. If that doesn't sound like a hassle to you, I recommend it wholeheartedly. It really does look nice.

Bought this item about a week ago. I have to admit, the looks drew me. Who doesn't want a flash drive that looks gold plated? Anyone thinking of buying it should be aware it is very small. Smaller than I was expecting. This may work well for people with computers where the USB connectors are very close together, however for me, I knew it was just a matter of time before it got lost. Also the write time was rather slow. I had ordered another Transcend USB drive that was cheaper along with this one and the write speed on that one was twice what it was on this. I ended up returning this one and buying another of the faster model.

I can't say this seems faster than any other USB drive I ever used, but it works fine. When I had the flash drive and my keyboard wireless transmitter plugged into neighboring USB ports, the keyboard/mouse stopped working due to the USB 3.0 interference, so I had to move the keyboard transmitter. (That's true for all USB 3.0 devices, just saying...)

A nice flashdrive that serves its purpose, it does whatever I need it to do. The only problem I have with it is trying on the keychain, you'll need a small keyring to put it on, and therefore, if you try to put it on, you might scratch the top. Nevertheless, I love the design of this flashdrive.

Works good, up-load speeds are good, and looks great. It feels more durable then many plastic ones and I wouldn't be to scared of it breaking if I put it on my on my key chain. I used it to put wedding films on and with the right presentation the gold color gives the look I was going for and impresses the costumer when they open it.

Er ist tatsächlich schnell, das Gehäuse ist aus Metall, Farbe Platingold, die Kappe sitzt gut und wird durch ein Gummiinlet gehalten ohne Raste, die Oberfläche ist sehr glatt, wenn man keine Schlaufe einzieht ist das Abziehen gewöhnungsbedürftig, das Einfädeln des Bandes erfordert etwas Geduld, durch die Art wie das Loch in das Metallgehäuse gestanzt worden ist, ist das Durchfädeln nicht einfach, Hilfsmittel war eine ganz dünne Nadel, in dem Schlaufenloch ist eine LED die leuchtet wenn er aktiv ist. Die Geschwindigkeit ist verglichen mit V70 8GB,16GB,32GB ; 710 64GB,32GB ; 600 MLC 32GB Ultraspeed ; 730 32GB ; 700 128GB ; so ; noch schneller(1s/GB/160xMP3) als er war nur 710 32GB ; am schlechtesten war 700 128GB= 12x langsamer; immerhin war er ca. 60% schneller als 600 MLC ultraspeed 32GB.D.h. schnell sein muss nicht teuer sein, der schnellste: 710 32GB kostete 9€ , der 600 MLC 26€Der drittbeste war übrigens 710/64GB. Und erstaunlich schnell war der etwas betagte V60-32GB, der 4.-schnellste. D.h. alt heißt noch lange nicht langsam. Und übrigens ist von allen transcend-sticks noch keiner elektrisch kaputt gegangen, die Aufgezählten sind nicht alle in meiner Sammlung.

Ottima chiavetta USB, l’ho acquistata per metterci dei film da guardare sulla TV, devo dire che non mi ha mai dato problemi!Design molto carino ma nulla di eccezionale!Sicuramente molto più cara di quelle che si trovano normalmente su Amazon, ma viste le recensioni delle altre di lamentele e malfunzionamenti mi sono alla fine buttato su questa!Non so se poi a livello di scrittura dei dati sia veloce come dichiarano nelle specifiche tecniche, avendoci messo diversi film ci ha messo un bel po’ a copiarli e sinceramente non sono stato lì a cronometrare!Colorazione oro molto carina!
