Great product for young children
We bought this for my eight year old son who has shown interest in robotics. Although it’s not the best product out there, for the price, you can’t go wrong. The instructions were easy to follow and comes with many different things to build. My son loves it!!

Basic circuitry
A basic understanding of how circuits are open or closed is needed. However, based upon the instructions and pictures presented, this allows the novice to complete circuits and enjoy the fruits of their enjoyable labor. These STEM activities are challenges for my 4th and 5th grade students and they look forward to using them in their weekly STEM class.

9 Year old boy enjoyed bulding the projects
Great kit for the price. Due to "belts" that tend to pop off and hard to follow instructions (for 9 year old) I am going with 4 starts. Just something to be aware of, otherwise a great kit.

Absolutely great for Montessori Education
My kid loves it and we are eager to purchase more kits after he surpasses this period of learning.

My 11 year olds love STEM kits
My 11 year old boys love these STEM kits. They can follow the directions and independently put them together. I do like that they vary in time. I am using these kits as a 1x per week activity through the summer. Once the kits are done they have the choice to take them apart and build something on their own.

Cool kits that require adult assistance to complete
I don’t know how they expect children to do these kits without a significant amount of adult assistance and supervision. My 9 and 13 year old needed a lot of help for the teeny tiny screws and not-very-clear instructions. The finished projects were cool and worked well, but don’t be fooled into thinking you can send a kid to do these on their own. It’s misleading to suggest that 8 year olds could do it independently. Price for the kit is good and the projects are a good experiment in STEM activities.

Great value!
We bought these for a children’s event at work for the older kids. Kits were well packaged, but there was only set of tools and instructions. So if you want to be able to have several kids do the individual builds, either get extra tools or they will have to take turns. Otherwise great value and interesting thing for older kids!

Terrible instructions, terrible parts, terrible durability
The instructions leave out most steps. You can't see where to actually mount the pieces and it is not indicated anywhere. The screws are almost as small as sunglasses screws, and very hard to use. The pulleys included don't have enough grip to actually turn the gears. A basic rubber band does 10x better. The parts list for each project is incomplete, with missing labels and no way to discern which part is which (especially because it also states that the color of the actual parts is random).I sincerely wonder if the creator ever attempted to use this product, or even cared. The instructions are so poor, that I'm inclined to believe they don't care. You stare at tiny pictures and have to modify the parts to attempt something that looks like the picture. For example, some metal connectors require you to bend the part 90 degrees according to the picture. The instructions make no mention of this. It simply shows a picture where you must assume after hole 2, but before hole 3 must be where the bend should take place.
