Exactly what I needed!
I recently fell on ice and broke my fibula...I knew I'd be in one of these once I was out of the hard cast and boot (I'd broken my other fibula several years ago), so I went ahead and ordered it. So glad I did! The same one from the ortho doctor was $125 (my insurance has a deductible on DME)!Anyway, this is working perfectly. For those that say you can "never get it to fit correctly" - you have to remember that the part that goes under your foot is adjustable. Once you get that right, it will be comfortable and supported.I love that it can also be chilled in the fridge or freezer to deal with any swelling. This would be excellent for treating a sprain. It fits in to both my hiking shoes and my sneakers....it will stretch them out eventually, so I purchased an extra pair of sneakers so I don't stretch out my good ones. This thing is a real ankle saver!

Best purchase for my injury
I fractured my fibula last month while out of town on a business trip, and, since it is a non weight bearing bone, no cast was necessary. Instead at the ER they gave me a boot to wear. I quickly learned that wasn't going to help because it made so off balance, I was afraid I was going to fall again. On a checkup visit with an orthopedic Dr, he again tried to get me in a boot that was "much better than what they give you in the ER", and I ended up going home with a knee caddy to help me get around.I purchased this stirrup brace on the advice of my chiropractor to help stabilize my ankle when I started walking on it. It has been a big help. On the latest visit to the orthopedic dr, he recommended an aircast since I went with an ace bandage on my foot. So his "staff" brought one in to fit it to me, and it was the exact same as this one only black. I asked what they would charge- $90!! Wonder why healthcare is so expensive???

Called an air cast but air doesn’t stay in
This is total trash. It’s called an “air” cast. You have to stick a straw in a tiny hole which is difficult and blow it up. Then tuck it back in. As you wear it the air runs out in thirty minutes and you’re left with an unsupported ankle. There is glue all over the place you out the air in and gets all over your fingers. There’s also glue where you adjust the bottom foot size. This thing is pure junk. And trying to wear it without the air is miserably uncomfortable. I can’t even believe they could think this is a good product.

Perfect 👌
I had a grade 2/3 sprain and wore a compression wrap underneath it for 2 weeks and it was perfect. I was able to wear my Nike sneaker with it on too.The 3rd and 4th week I didn't have a compression wrap and it still keep my ankle stable. Wearing it to bed was comfortable too.

Comfortable
Provided some helpful and comfortable support after I broke my ankle. Unfortunately I required surgery and wearing a boot for an extended period.Recommend if you just have a sprain.

Purchased
Works great allowing toe lift up and down motions while stabilizing the arch from rolling overThe rehabilitation hospital sold me an eighteen hundred dollar brace which completely froze the leg and foot in placePlus required the purchase of special shoes another expense

Make sure you order the correct size
I twisted my ankle and my doctor suggested a stabilizing brace. I ordered Aircast because they're a reputable company. The gel on either side of the brace is soft but, only if you order the correct size. Mine was too small and the pressure on my ankle was too painful for me to continue to wear it.

great product
I had twisted my foot and this is what they put me in and I never missed a days work. My wife twisted hers and they first wrapped it and then we started buying braces for her foot but all three hurt so much she wouldn't wear them. I was in my shop and ran across the one I had used, so I had her to try it and she said it felt better than any of the other ones. She said I see now how you were able to wear it and go to work. This is the best one you will find according to my wife and my self
