We saw this tool on a YouTube video - Beekeeping Like a Girl. It looked like it worked well so we purchased. We are very happy that we did. It works like a charm. The device has grooves that fit snugly on rim of a 5 gallon food grade bucket. De-capping frames is so much easier. (Previously we used an upside bowl in a shallow container). As you begin de-capping the wax slides into the bucket. We did place a filter over the bucket before de-capping to catch the wax and allow honey to filter into bottom of bucket. The tool works for either size frame. Of note but to be expected, once you’ve got things good and sticky you will have to press down on scraper as you lift a frame or you will pull scraper from the edge of the bucket. If you are a beekeeper highly recommend this product. It will help your harvest day go much smoother.

Holds the frames securely. Even stays put if you have a filter cloth draped over the edge of the pail to capture the cappings and still be able to get the honey that drips out when you're uncapping. I've only uncapped a half dozen or so frames, but it works for all sizes of frames. Just be sure you have a little weight in your pail if you need to let go of the frame for any reason. It will tip the pail over. lol Still, all-in-all, a great product. Very solid design. I feel like it is more secure for the user than trying to balance the frame on a nail like the uncapping tanks I've seen. Highly recommend!

Stayed in place, was secure, and even held a frame upright without me holding onto it! 10/10 recommend!

This simple device worked much better than any of my homemaid frame rests. Securely holds the frames over the decapping bucket and is easy to clean at the end. Although it is tight, it will fit over the filter mesh for collecting the capping. I’ll for sure order a second one for the next harvest.

This device worked great. Cappings fell into bucket and reduced cleanup. Device fit bucket securely and was very sturdy. Wish I had this year's ago.

Item work, would like it to b a little thicker as it didn't hold frame steady when uncapping.

For around 35 years I've been uncapping frames balanced on the edge of a stainless steel pot. I'm always careful to keep my thumb where the knife will be blocked by the frame's side bar. Sometimes however the frame slips on the honey-wet side of the pot and things get haywire. I've waited for the day when I hit my thumb with the knife. This tool put an end to the worry. So... Who has two thumbs and a valuable new tool for uncapping? This guy!

Not honey processing time yet, at least here in California. Looks like it’ll work well for next year.
