Very sturdy and strong! Easy to assemble

The first shoe rack that arrived did not seem to be in new condition (scratched up, some bent shelves and some broken parts on one shelf and some of the bags of pieces opened spilling out the pieces in the box). I sent the seller the some photos of what I received and the condition it was in and they were really wonderful and fast about getting back to me, confirmed my address and sent me out a new shoe rack right away. The new one arrived today and was in new condition and great! It takes a little bit of time to put together but is super easy and once together feels very sturdy. It is already in my closet and filled up and I am happy! For the women out there just to give you an idea of space between the shelves, my booties with the 2inch heels have to be put in tilted a little bit to make them fit without bending the tops of them down at all.Thank you again Songmics Direct for the great customer service and resolving the problem so quickly, I really appreciate it!!

All the pieces were there and the box was intact. Gloves are a good idea when assembling as the ends of the tubes of the shelves can be sharp and your hands may get sweaty from pushing the tubes together. I was happily surprised to see the wire was welded to the tubes for the shelves. I thought they might just be bent and inserted into a hole. My husband had to put some of the shelves together as I couldn't pull the tube out far enough to get into the plastic connector. Two of the shelves had a couple of minor scratches in the powder coating. The unit is stronger than I expected. I would venture to guess it is one of the sturdiest shelving units on the market in this price range. It holds four pairs of men's and women's shoes (not heels or flats) on each shelf. I placed black tag board on the top shelves that we don't need for shoes and have a few clothes on them. This way the clothes won't have the wire pattern on them. I would buy this again.

It's a nice shoe rack. I used the zip tie kit that's included to attach it to the wall. I took the advice in another review and used a hairdryer and mallet for the tight pieces. It just need a few seconds to heat and loosen up. Took about 30 minutes to put together.

Someone else mentioned using a hair dryer to soften up the plastic pieces. That worked, but a colander over boiling water worked better. Keep it simmering on the stove as you work. Otherwise, the plastic holes will NOT fit over the metal poles -- even with a whack from a mallet -- they will break instead. But when you WARM UP the corner pieces they slip right into place with a soft tap, and the whole caboodle comes together quickly. I liked it so much I decided to get another set so I could continue to add shelves all the way to the ceiling. (P.S., very glad I didn't get the version with vinyl "fabric" shelves, which you know will be junk in a few years.

We purchased 2 of these racks after we moved into our new home because we wanted to get rid of all of our shoe boxes. They both fit snugly against the closet wall but we bolted them into the wall just to be safe. They were easy to put together and are very sturdy. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to clean up their closet.

I bought this to organize the family shoes in my garage to keep out all the germs, etc. This seemed to be the strongest and most cost efficient other than buying metal shelves for triple the price. There is a picture of an adult sitting on the shelf showing how strong it is but not sure that is accurate but it will surely hold 4 pairs of shoes on each shelf. Maybe 5 if they are kid size shoes.I might buy another one because we still can't fit all our shoes but it does the job well.
