Great filter paper

Why spend five bucks for less then ten of these when you can buy in bulk for cheaper . It’s what I use to great results.

It works okay, especially for small amounts of fluid, but the pores get clogged fairly quickly and the filtration process slows way down if there are larger amounts of fluid. For example, we were recently filtering a slurry of dried green peas from a blender in order to extract DNA. We only have 1 1/2 hours for lab, so the filtration step was definitely a bottleneck for time. We ended up using coffee filters to speed up the process. Maybe a fast filter paper for the first go-through and then this product for a second filtration? I still kinda wish I had gotten larger diameter and faster filter paper for high school labs. This product is probably better for more meticulous science or a fluid that doesn't have many solid particles in it.
