Overall, not hard to put together. Takes about an hour. Parts fit well, with a few small gaps, but hardly noticeable. I LOVE the fact that the back is finished, because our tables are visible from another room and not up against a wall. Finish is pleasantly surprising in this price category. Matches my genuine teak foyer table almost exactly! Design is pleasing and the drawer works well. There was some confusion on our part because the boxes received were so expertly taped together, we thought we had only received one table! If you buy two, please make a note of that. Seller was quick to respond to my question. RECOMMEND. Would buy again from this seller.

Well packed; arrived in excellent condition. Every piece of styrofoam packaging was encased in plastic, which made clean-up easy. The dimensions given in the listing (18-inches wide x 16-inches deep x 24-inches tall) are accurate. This solid wood (purchased the teak-colored pine) nightstand, while a little roughly finished, went together smoothly. As another reviewer mentioned, the assembly directions are picture-only and it’s easy to miss the steps where the twist locks are NOT to be installed. Leaving the twist locks to the end keeps the assembly ‘loose’ enough to get the last leg installed (which requires some wiggling). Also, several pieces have an unfinished side; must pay attention which way those pieces are installed. While the ‘rustic’ finish was a little disappointing, and care must be taken with assembly, this nightstand is solid and worth 5 stars. Happy with purchase.

I read a lot of reviews before buying two of these. I choose them for the value, although I had to pay about $50 in shipping to get them to my house. They assemble without too much trouble unless you make a silly mistake, like I did, installing the #10 shelf upside down. The engineering is really quite good. When they are fully assembled they are quite sturdy, and don't rock on the floor. One review said the instructions left out whole steps. They did not, unless you count part #8, which, when I put the first of two together, didn't seem to be indicated anywhere in the instructions. It was easy enough to figure out where the piece attached (just under the top, in the front, because there are two pilot holes drilled for the screws to attach to the bottom of the top. I don't think I saw any other pilot holes in the whole unit, which is unfortunate, because it means you have to force start the non-self tapping screws. It's not too big a deal, since the nightstand is built of pine, and it is *soft,* very soft. So, don't over tighten the screws, as you could strip them out, and end up needing wood glue and toothpicks to make a repair. I eventually found the number 8 on instruction step 9, if I remember correctly. It is extremely hard to see. Be very gentle with this furniture since it is made of soft wood and will ding, scratch, and mar easily. Mine are for a couple of guest rooms, and mainly have to hold up a lamp! One happy discovery I had when I unpacked the units is that all of the Styrofoam is wrapped in thin plastic! That was great! No little pieces sticking to your hands and clothes and flying around the room. I'm sure it was a very minimal cost to the manufacturer, but it was a really nice touch for the end user. Nice stuff!

These match my pottery barn dresser and bed set, very sturdy.

The good: solid wood, looks attractive and makes a good end table or night stand next to a bed.The bad: The unit comes in many parts and the directions are skimpy. Some line-ups are aided by wood dowels but fastening requires screws (provided). However, there are no starter holes for the screw tips and it's not easy to line up the legs to the shelves properly and almost impossible to do it alone. It took me the better part of an hour to put it together and while I was pleased with the outcome I would not do it again .. just too much trouble.

Ordered this to replace a very old nightstand. Pleasantly surprised that there was no particle board. All pieces are a solid wood (with the possible exception of the drawer bottom which is very thin, feels more like a piece of veneer). Everything assembled very easy. I thought the directions were easy to follow and was able to assemble by myself. I did after assembly have a wobble from the legs being uneven between the front and back. Not sure if I assembled wrong or legs came uneven. But it wasn't a big deal. I had some sticky rubber laptop feet leftover from fixing my laptop and put one of those on the bottom of the front leg. That fixed the wobble and it is now level. I would definitely recommend this, especially at the price offered.

I was a bit daunted about assembly reading some of the other reviews. I can do things but wouldn't necessarily call myself handy. However, this was easy to assemble with just a Phillips head screwdriver needed. It took about 45 minutes for me to put together myself. The instructions are visual only so that's probably the only thing I would change: add written instructions. The table is sturdy and cute. Perfect for a bedside table.

I received and put together this nightstand today. The instructions were easy to follow and the construction made sense as the table came together, but the parts did not line-up easily so the assembly took longer than I had hoped as I struggled to get the various parts aligned. Finally completed, it's a nice looking nightstand.
