Good value for the price
I bought this because I was looking for a low-cost projector. I bought this to use for lectures and Sunday School classes, and figured I'd use it to watch movies at home too. This unit meets my minimum requirements: It works. It has a resolution high enough for any serious need. The picture is clear and crisp. You can connect it to a computer with a standard computer video cable. It also takes an HDMI cable. I have a computer with HDMI output and this worked fine too. It also takes composite video that I didn't try.It has some limitations that may or may not be important to you.1. The image is not bright enough to see in a well-lit room. It looks great in a dark room. I used it in my living room with a single 100-watt bulb and it was fine. But when I tried it in a classroom with bright overhead lights it was seriously washed out.2. There's no way to adjust the size of the image other than to move the projector closer or farther from the screen.3. It has built-in speakers that have good sound quality, but not great. If you want to show a movie, say, there's no problem understanding what the actors are saying. But I wouldn't use it to music. It's not high-quality stereo. It does have hook-ups for external speakers.4. An odd one: it has no left/right leveling. You can raise or lower the front, but if your table is not level compared to your screen, you'll have to put a book under one foot or some such.I've only had it for a few weeks so I can't say anything about durability or bulb life.

Great projector for my fifth grade classroom
This projector has added convenience and flexibility to my classroom. I have it attached to my Epson DC-11 projector and the two work together well. I have them connected with the video cables that came with the projector. The projector is easy to use, just turn on with switch on back, hit button on top to select input, I used video, the key is to hold this button once selected for two seconds to set. That was the only problem solving I had to do in the process as the manual didn't give this direction. I am projecting onto the white pull down screens in my class that were put in years and years ago for the overhead projector. I turn off lights in front of the class and leave back lights on, just like I did for overhead projector. The great advantage of this projector combined with the document camera I use ( separate review off that to follow soon) is that I can put worksheets and books ect under the camera and project them on screen with out having to buy, and then photocopy onto, overhead film everything I want to show the students. I can write on the worksheets, blank paper, workbooks, whatever, and model exactly what students need to do and learn. This has been one of the most advantageous additions to my classroom in a decade. Second only to the Smartboard!

If it sounds too good to be true...
"If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is." We had high hopes and expectations for this projector to watch movies in our outdoor gazebo at night and use to teach CPR/EFR classes. While the price-point is reasonable, this projector leaves much to be desired. While there are a lot of port options for different sources - the actual image quality of 1080 just doesn't seem to be accurate. It also needs to be used in a VERY dark environment and does not provide the lumens or brightness that it boasts, so this would not be an ideal projector for a partially-lit classroom. We had the projector set up 7 feet away from our 48-in x 38-in white screen, and the top and bottom were unclear images while the middle was in focus - and if it's barely bumped or touched, you have to start all over with manually refocusing. There is one adjustment leg on the bottom of the unit in the front, so if you need to level the unit, you have to get creative with propping up the back sides with something. The instruction 'booklet' that comes with this unit was useless and clearly could've benefited from spell-check and professional editing. Even the trouble-shooting instructions are generic and not helpful. This is a cheaply made projector that might work for some who have low expectations, but isn't going to work out for us. We'll be returning ours.

Shame on you AMAZON
This product does not have a brand name on it. I bought it to be used in my four schools. However it is horrible, horrible and more horrible. What can you do about the experience I am having with this product. Always with the purchases I make from Amazon I get what I expect. But this is unbelievable. I have been waiting for the time to write to you. Our school is growing quickly and my time is on other issues. Please how could Amazon sell a product that does not have a name on it. As I said, I have four of them and today with expansion I must buy 12 projectors just to keep up with demand.I am sorry to write such a terrible review. Take this item out of your stock and burn them quickly.Deborah

works well.
This is a good projector with a clear picture. It is built sturdy and so far hasn't had any problems in the 8 months in which I owned it. If you need something that will work well in a lot of light, you may have issues, which is why I gave it 4 stars. If there was an option for 4.5, I would of done that. I use this for live streaming concerts in the backyard. So being in the central time zone, it may still be light for most of the fist set, which means this projector won't really be usable for that portion of the show.

Unable to use due to poorly written and sketchy instructions
We turned it on, but couldn't figure out how to work it as the instructions were very sketchy and very poorly written. It was strictly trial and error, and we never were able to figure it all out, so we returned it and ordered an Epson which we have been very happy with and which is very user friendly. I guess if someone uses projectors a lot, they would be able to use this, but we needed much better instructions that the ones we received.
