5 STARS!!!! NEVER BUYING ANOTHER SOFT BOX!!!!
This is easily one of the best purchases I have EVER made on Amazon. I was looking for a light to shoot video and had previously used soft boxes. I always loved the light quality of sb's but HATED the setup time and portability. I decided to give this light a try and I was BLOWN AWAY!!!! First of this light is super BRIGHT it can easily light an entire room or scene. The brightness is both a pro and a con as you will definitely want to have some diffusion on-hand to bring it down. Even on the lowest setting it's crazy bright. I had some diffusion socks from a beauty dish that I used to soften it up. You may want to get one or two of the smaller ones instead of this one if your intention is to specifically light a face for an interview or do a beauty shot. The kit with the two smaller versions is what I would have purchased had I known what I know today. That is in no way meant to take anything away from this light. It is strong an amazing and the construction is surprisingly top-notch. Use this light to light entire rooms or if you have a lot of space to move it far from your subject or get the two smaller ones for more control and cinematic effects. In either case you are sure to be pleasantly surprised by the output and quality of this light. Lastly PORTABILITY!!!! Its incredibly lightweight, super thin and has a very handy carrying/storage case. Remote control is clutch especially for self-filming!!! Takes about 1-2 minutes to setup and take apart... I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER SOFT BOX. RING LIGHT WHO??? This is the way to go!!! Do yourself a favor and invest in these lights!!

Get this if you need a softbox/fill light/daylight lamp at your desk
This is a weighty light with a solid metal frame and clean, simple lines, so you can use it in your home or office, not just in the studio. The diameter of the disk is 46cm, the lit circle is 41cm; it's large enough to act as a soft fill light for vlogging, and to not blind you when you have it in your field of vision (at least if you don't turn it all the way up). The LEDs are built into the frame, the lit area looks uniform. I think this is a good alternative to the Elgato key light; the main reason why I did not get the Elgato is that it depends on Wifi and has no manual controls; I cannot have my light fail me during a video recording because of losing network connectivity. This light comes with both a remote and manual controls on the lamp itself. It also remembers its state when you turn it off. The lamp is 70W at its max setting. For my purposes, that's mostly too much; even at the lowest setting, it's pretty bright. You will need to buy a stand for this light; I've got the Neewer desk clamp, which works quite well. Here is a list of minor criticisms: - The cord it not integrated into the stand but hangs down freely, and the cable between the power brick and the lamp is rather short, so the brick will hang in the air. - The lamp is mostly metal, but the, back, the switch box and tightening knobs are black plastic. It's ok for a work light and really not bad or flimsy industrial design, but it could have a slightly cleaner look for using it at home. - Instead of two potentiometers for brightness and color temperature, this lamp has only one, and buttons to switch the mode. Two control knobs would have been better. - The darkest setting is still very bright, and the change in brightness when changing the color temperature from one of the extreme settings (so the second set of LED's is turned on) is quite strong. I suppose that using a lower minimum brightness would have resulted in flickering. You really cannot use this as a mood light, but as a desk lamp, the minimum brightness is ok.

If you record videos, take pictures or stream; GET IT.
I make a lot of videos for Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube and do live streams so, I figured I’d get a new light to boost my content quality. I wanted something easy to click on anywhere in the room and something that got “bright bright” with changeable color temperature between yellow/white and stand alone yellow and stand alone white. NEEWER won me over previously with a microphone stand because their material quality and sturdiness, and price point. So I figured I’d give this light a try and, I’m super glad I did. Usually I’ll just use it as a room lamp in combination with a regular lamp on opposite sides of the room but the ability to adjust height of the stand and angle of the light makes it perfect for a little personal over lamp as well. The base is amazing quality and it feels like a quality item overall. I could see this being useful for extremely clean photography or for someone that does electronics/jewerly as, you can adjust the height to be out of the way but, still have it directly above you. I got the basic 12inch version but I like it so much that I am going to get the expensive RGB one in the future. (Aye NEEWER or whoever is in charge of distributing these, I’ll write as in depth of a review on that one too if you wanna send me a coupon or “sample” ;) ) ~Now for some critique, not really bad but overall~ Phone holder is a nice accessory but realistically, it’s just a gimmick. Get a good quality tripod if you use your phone as a camera and editing station. (You can hold your phone with your tripod while editing lol) overall I would rather this item be 5$ cheaper for example than include a phone mount. The little button thing is kind of nice if you don’t already have one but it’s basically case candy for recording equipment/accessories so I have like 7 of them laying around. I will say some people buy these separately and this free one is actually semi decent quality and actually unique in appearance. To which I wonder if you can map different functions on them instead of just being a shutter? If so then this gimmick item is actually worth while. ~OVERALL~ I would highly recommend this light for anyone with similar hobbies starting to think the same line of thinking as I mentioned above. This light costs like half the price of what it could get away with charging in my completely honest opinion. It is VASTLY higher quality than those little $20-30 “Ring lights” for like 20$ more. This is like the cheapest high end option without building it yourself. (Don’t mind my box stand lmao) What NEEWER could offer as a gimmicky gift instead of a phone mount and button: Mounting brackets/integration with their other equipment options. They’re almost there with how it sets up now, being the head is an individual “bolt on” item. You would assume they would play up the “changability” aspect as the head is quality feeling and the stand is quality feeling stand alone. Even offering “Just the head” options would be great. The light is quality enough that I would repair it rather than getting a whole new stand and light. The stand is high enough quality that it doesn’t deserve to be tossed out if the light fails as well. My personal use can take advantage of multiple stands but a professional photographer might want to attach it to other equipment for mobile “load outs”. Honestly the same concept as the phone holder but instead of a phone mount bracket on the front of the clip, put a basic post where the head can attach too. That would add infinitely more versatility than a phone mount lol.

Only real complaint is that the color temps displayed on the unit are about 100 kelvin off and number increase to about 200 kelvin off the closer you get to the top end of the color spectrum. Case and handheld remote are a fantastic inclusion and make the unit a lot more useful. More than bright enough at 50% power to do a YouTube video at 6’ (2m) away and as a single light source. Built in diffuser screen does a very good job at diffusion.
