"THIS TIME, IT'S FOR FAMILY....
After the events of Burma, John Rambo is living a peaceful life on his late father's ranch with his housekeeper and her daughter who he treats as his own. When she goes to Mexico looking for answers from her biological father about why he left her and her mother, she is kidnapped and forced into the world of drugs and prostitution Rambo rescues her, but she dies whilst he's taking her back home. Hell bent on revenge for her ordeal and subsequent death, Rambo sets traps around the farm and kills all the men who are responsible for his stepdaughter's death. A good movie from my point of view which nicely concludes the Rambo franchise. I felt it could have been a little longer say, 1hr and 45mins, but I think that 86 minutes is adequate, its just that the film felt a little short in length, but then thinking about it, the average length of the other movies in the Rambo franchise were just the same. Overall, I enjoyed this movie and would recommend it even only just to have a look. Decide for yourselves. As always, the disc arrived on time and in pristine condition. Very pleased with it.

Taken meets Home Alone
Sylvester Stallone has been my favourite actor for as long as I can remember. I was raised on all of his classics: Rocky, Rambo, Cliffhanger, Demolition Man. He's one of the few actors that I've tried to seek out as many of his good films as I can, and I've found some underrated gems along the way: Cobra, Nighthawks, Assassins, Cop Land & Daylight just to name a few. Since Rambo was one of the franchises I grew up on, I hold the series in very high regard, First Blood being one of my top 10 favourite films of all time. The second, third and fourth films were all very good continuations, though never quite surpassing the first film. I always felt that 4 ended it perfectly, by bringing the story full circle, but I was open to seeing another one. I'm happy to report that Rambo: Last Blood was a very entertaining fifth entry. It's basically the same type of story as Liam Neeson's Taken, with a few unexpected twists and turns, and a third act that is essentially a more extreme version of Home Alone. If that description sounds good to you, then I'd recommend giving the film a watch. A lot of the negative reviews have criticised the film for being "too violent", though I'd argue that's kind of the point. I understand the perspective that it can come across as quite shallow, compared to how poignant First Blood was, but the sequels evolved into being the archetype for the modern action film. Last Blood is the natural progression of that, keeping the ultraviolence, while attempting to tie back to the series' roots, with a more personal story this time around. I personally thought it worked well enough. The film isn't actually as action-packed as some would expect, but when it picks up in the last 20 to 30 minutes, it's virtually non-stop until the end. I actually enjoyed the slower pace of the first hour, since I'm so invested in the character of Rambo as well as Stallone's performance. The scenes where he interrogates people for information on where they have taken his niece are either filled with tension, or with squirm-inducing violence (namely the collarbone scene). The villains can seem a bit one-dimensional, but I feel like it works for the type of film it is, much like in Taken. They are still given enough screen-time to make you want to see Rambo lay waste to them, so that when he does, it's extremely satisfying. Without spoiling anything, the ending is great. The credits show a montage of the 5 films, with Brian Tyler's excellent score accompanying it. Definitely an emotional way to cap off the series, as it lets you appreciate the longevity of it. The montage ends by going back to the final scene, and adding a bit more to it, so make sure to stick around for that. If you're a fan of the series or Stallone at all, it's worth seeing.

engrossing finish
Arrived in brisk prompt time. Almist fous decades since he started the ball rolling when in first blood. Now settled in semblance by raising horses on the ranch, arizona. Established a familiar bond there. Until savage mexican brutal cartal kidnap his granddaugher. Then rambo sets forth in punish those responsible with no mercy. makes good use of combat skills to exact revenge on a more private note. enthralling gripped intense scenes. Exploring some unexpected facets of his character, preserving holding on what has defined and makes him tick. this particular film is new direction from previous rambo ones. More personel based. Worth watching as brings to a close the rambo saga.

Awesome! Honestly.
I am a fan but so are you. This is a fantastic revenge movie. Stallone giving a masterclass in Being Rambo. He does actual acting giving more depth to JR than previous and then the sheer exuberance and creativity of the final scenes is a joy to behold. Plenty of pathos. Just sit back and enjoy. This is awesome.

The last and the Best.
I’ve seen all the Rambo films I’ve enjoyed them all at the time but find them boring now. This one however is different. Very much like a Liam neeson film. You will be cheering him on as he takes his revenge against the bad guys. You will feel for him as he experiances personal tragedy. Probably not one to keep but a must watch at least once.

Rambo lives on
I did enjoy this dvd, but i am a Rambo fan . Sadly it would have been nice if the film included a flash back to actually when Rambo first walks through the door on coming home, and his relasionship past with the characters introduced in the movie, instead of just some photographs on the wall. it is action packed as you expect from a Rambo movie, but very violent also touches on human trafficking which made me feel very sad at the state of the human race.
