Just switched over to a Mac from a Windows PC and these little buggers are a must. I encourage you to buy enough to stash in backpacks and desks so that one is always within reach. The only complaint I have is that the USB-C male end of this device fits too snuggly into my computer, making it a bit of a tug to get back out. But, the device works with every USB memory and peripheral I have tried and is made of a solid and sturdy construction.

Rather than buy whole new devices for their USB-C feature, you can just bring what you have into the new technology with this adapter/converter. This product is great for someone like me who has a few USB-A plug-ins for hard drives and other external media but only has USB-C ports. What I do is plug it in to my USB-A hard drive, and just leave it plugged in, that way I don't lose it and it will always work by plugging directly into my computer. This saves me from needing a larger hub adapter when I am traveling or working in a small space.An issue I thought I would encounter but didn't was the thickness of the adapter and the spacing of the ports. You can, in fact, plug in a Macbook charger while also plugging in the adaptor next to it. The space gray color I ordered is a very attractive offering that goes great with my MacBook Pro. One note: you cannot use two of these side by side on any current Apple laptop, but that’s because the ports are placed so close together.
