TakaneTakane Hi Torque Clock Movement With Hands to Fit Dials Up To 14 Inches in Diameter

I'm very satisfied with this clock movement. I used it to make an infinity clock with a 14" clock face. I had to clip off about 1/8" from the minute hand and it wasn't a problem. The hands of the clock are black on the front and white on the back. As you can see I painted the hands fluorescent orange to help them really stand out behind the one-way mirror film. The fact that the hands were white on the back was helpful because I only had to paint the front of the hands white before painting both sides with the fluorescent orange spray paint. Having a white undercoat makes the orange really pop. I would have given a five-star rating but I had one issue. The nut that came with the clock mechanism was threaded wrong and wouldn't thread on the shaft. I didn't want to go to all the trouble of getting a replacement clock mechanism and wait for another 5-6 days. I went to a nearby automotive store and bought a toggle switch that had the proper size nut and used that. The replacement nut spun on the shaft with no effort needed. This confirmed that the threads on the original nut were not right. The clock is keeping perfect time and I'm really happy that I ordered this clock mechanism. You gotta admit, the end result is pretty cool. :)

THIS SITUATION IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO BELIEVE. I ORDERED THIS UNIT TO REPLACE ANOTHER DEFECTIVE UNIT I JUST RETURNED, AND THIS CLOCK MOTOR IS BAD ALSO!!!!!!!!!!. EITHER YOU ARE SELLING A BAD BATCH A BAD BATCH, OR I AM REALLY DUMB. I FOLLOWED ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY TO BE CERTAIN I DID IT RIGHT. IT IS A BEAR TO CHANGE OUT THE MOTOR ON MY CLOCK.MY BATTERY IS READING 1.54 + VOLTS. THE MOTOR KEPT PERFECT TIME AFTER INSTALLING. A WHILE LATER IT STOPPED. THE HANDS ARE NOT TOUCHING EACH OTHER. I RECHECKED THE BATTERY; IT IS OVER 1.5 VOLTS. I SET THE CLOCK AGAIN; IT RAN A BIT BUT STOPPED AGAIN.SURELY I AM DOING SOMETHING WRONG. YOU WOULDN'T UNLOAD A BAD BATCH ON ME WOULD YOU? THIS IS TAKING WAY TOO MUCH OF MY VALUABLE TIME!!!!!!!!!! VERY UNHAPPY!!!! I HATE TO THINK ABOUT TEARING THAT CLOCK APART AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After succesfully repairing one of my clocks with a rebuild kit, I purchased this one to repair a larger clock I have for my outside patio. Unfortunately, the arms wouldn't attach properly to the drive shaft - the hole in the minute hand was too small. I ended up bending the arm up trying to enlarge the hole and finally gave up.I liked the concept of this one since it had large size hands, unfortunately, they didn't fit the motor part well.

This is a great deal. My clock was not working for a couple of years just collecting dust. This was an inexpensive fix, which I thought wasn't going to work until I reached out to the seller and he told me what to do. The clock has been working great since!

The replacement looks really good and seem to work out ok for about a day. Now it's losing time. We have this in a clock in our office that is hard to take down. It is fairly large so taking it down to reset it all the time is not an option. I was really hoping this would work.

Works like a charm! It has been installed about 4 days now and is keeping perfect time. The clock I used this in was a center piece in my dining room and to not have it running was frustrating. IT NOW RUNS! IT NOW KEEPS GOOD TIME! I AM SO THRILLED! Very easy to install.

I bought this for a pallet clock that I made.The gear part that connects to the hands was long and made it through the thicker wood I used.Been running for a while now and it keeps perfect time.Good quality, and it looks great.

Bought this as replacement for a wall clock in our living room that my mom really loves. Since this is one that has the longest hands, I purchased this with a lot of hope. The merchandise arrived shortly right after with no issues. The instruction that came was thorough and easy to follow. Unfortunately, after 2 months of use the motor refused to work. Replaced the batteries but no go. Now, my mom's favorite wall clock still hangs on the wall making sure that at least twice a day it tells the right time.
