Boker Magnum 02RY001 Pal Knife with 3 1/2 in. Steel Blade, Sand

Just received Knife. The knife itself seems exactly as advertised. Good medium size, enough blade to do most non-chopping tasks. The steel seems like decent mid-level stainless, which is what I expected. The overall size and shape are very ergonomic to me. It feels good in the hand and you can get a nice purchase. I have medium size hands but I think there is some extra room so it should work fine for bigger hands. Again, with a 3.5 inch blade you are not going to probably chop wood all day with it. My hunch is that the edge won't stick around forever, but will be pretty easy to sharpen up. I'll update after I've used it.I got this to basically fullfill the role of a large pocket knife with a fixed blade. It's a little heavier and bulkier, but with a thick, full tang blade, will stand up to much more abuse and be easier to clean. So far I'm very happy with the size and shape and it seems perfect.Kydex sheath is a "pretty good." Some knives come with sheaths that are really bogus, but this one is usable. The clip is really basic and I ordered a Tek-Lok, but it does work pretty well for vertical carry. It CAN be adjusted for horizontal carry but it hangs down so again, if you want that option a tek-lok will be worth the 12 bucks. Quality is fine, and very acceptable for the price point. Retention seems good and it has loops for para-cord or whatever.The sheath is BLACK which is disappointing because the add plainly says Sand colored, to match the G-10 handles. Maybe not the end of the world, and some of you like black better but A: it is not what was advertised and B: will leave little black marks on the handle scales over time, where a same-colored kydex sheath would not.Bottom Line so far: This is very worth it for 40 bucks and I anticipate this being a go-to over my bigger blades when I want a fixed knife and don't need to chop. I would budget 12 bucks for a tek-lok if you are at all into systems for your gear as it will make it much easier to mount the way you want and to add and remove it to your gear without taking your belt off.I will loop back when I get the tek-lok and have used it a little.

Great knife for the money. Kydex sheath is a great fit. This is a solid knife that feels like twice the money in your hand. Only complaint is it didn't come with a sharp edge. But that way easily taken care of.

I bought this knife from my local gun dealer and paid more for the ability to fondle it. I will be ordering more of these for my kids, solid knife for sure.
