TX01 SECC Fanless Thin Mini-itx HTPC Chassis with 2.5" Drive Bay and Vertical Stand Foot (Black)

This is a very thin case. (Unlike most Mini-ITX cases which are bulky and thick). I love the small size of it. But the small size creates restrictions too. Unfortunately the cheap "Coinmine" mobo + APU which I bought for $34 from ebay did not fit in it. (As per the attached pictures the fan sticks out by 1/8th of an inch.) due to the size of heat sink and fan on that particular mobo that I bought. I am looking for another Mini-ITX case that is low profile enough to fit in here. Note that this case does NOT come with an standard size back plate opening. You will need a fairly flat Mini-ITX mobo with a small form factor back plate that include the barrel jack for power to use this particular case. If you know of such a case please reply below with the model.number as I hate to return this case. P.S. for the price mine has very decent quality and it comes with a plastic stand to help is stand upright.

Worked perfectly. I can’t even really think of a complaint as my motherboard that I had fit perfectly. Mini-ITX with external DC connection power supply ***Important*** Keep in the mind that the back plate is much smaller than conventional retail motherboards. It’s not the typical size so you need a specific board size for its rear backplate for this to fit properly.

Be aware when ordering this that it’s very compact. Older itx motherboards likely will not fit. Use if you have a low profile board.

ATTENTION: This is a Thin Mini ITX case (important the **"THIN"** part), not regular Mini ITX case!!. A couple of reviews are negative because they tried to fit a Mini ITX motherboard, and that is not the form factor for this case! Thin Mini ITX doesn't require an ATX or even a Pico PSU power supply, as they have a DC barrel connector onboard. Also, there is an alternative case (TX02) by the same manufacturer with a different front bezel, I have both, internally they are the same, just in case this one is out of stock. REVIEW: I like the black finish, it is even, well done, also on the inside. No sharp borders. I'm using this with an ECS A78F2-TI FM2+ motherboard, with a Silverstone Tek Super Slim Profile CPU Cooler (NT07-115X), which fits well into the case. My case unfortunately didn't came with a foot stand for vertical installation, but that's OK by me, don't plan to use it that way. The four feet for horizontal installation require assembly by screwing them to the case and then applying a rubber feet with adhesive, works fine. There is a serious defect in the front bezel of the case, when I tried to unplug a USB device, the bezel bent towards, and I found out that it isn't properly screwed in the case, is just held by tabs on the bottom and top, not the sides. Overall, for $30ish, it is OK, I can tolerate missing parts and the bending of the bezel, I just needed a Thin Mini ITX case for a simple HTPC and this one works fine for that.

This mini ITX case is perfect for 1L mini pc, my HP elitedesk g4 mini had poor air ventilation case so I decided to do a case swap to this, I had to do some modifications since is not a full motherboard, luckily I could take the mounting metal and stick it in this ITX case and fits perfectly, now it has better ventilation and won't overheat, I recommend it, but do your research first and you can see in my pictures, it's good for mini PCs, not for full motherboards that are big, I would definitely buy a second one if I had another mini motherboard like this. Totally love it.
