Receiver Pro V3

I bought one Up2Stream Pro to experiment with connecting my non-networked stereo to Spotify. I connected a 5v mini-usb for power,and used a 3.5-to-RCA cable to send the audio from the Up2Stream to my stereo. The Up2Stream was very easy to set up (using the 4Stream iphone app) and in just minutes I was playing Spotify. It sounded great, and I like being able to change Spotify channels with my phone. I bought a second Up2Stream Pro and connected it to my AV receiver. Now I have music in each room, or both rooms. The synchronization is easy to control, and sounds perfect. Just like Sonos, but way cheaper. I plan on building networked, powered speaker systems by combining the Up2Stream/Amp with computer speakers. I can put those outside on the porch. I wish there was a nice looking case with a clear cover for the boards. I'll probably make something from wood and plexiglas. I really like the Up2Stream products, and the customer relations has also been responsive about additional info.

I built my daughter a wireless speaker box, with this board, an amp board and a power supply. The Android app works fairly well. I have played music with the built box for a couple of hours without a hitch. I'm pretty happy. The company also sells a version of the board without the Ethernet, the Bluetooth, for only $30. But it's only available from the company's website. This one is worth the many, with the addition of Ethernet and Bluetooth.

Bought this a month ago but only just got a chance to wire it up. Worked like a charm, connecting with Bluetooth, airplay and the 4Stream app. I don't have a way to measure any distortion that may be introduced by the receiver, but it sounded pretty clean at normal listening levels.

This is the Arylic Up2stream Pro V2 Audio Receiver Board. Arylic produces several audio components ranging from project boards like this one to pre-amps to wireless earbuds to speakers. The Up2Stream allows any line level signal to be transmitted via Bluetooth, ethernet, or Wifi. In fact, this board has just about every method of playing streaming music you can think of: DLNA, USB media, and Airplay. First I'll take you through the hardware and possible applications of this board. Then, I'll focus on the setup and software. Finally, I'll give you my bottom line: is the Arylic Up2Stream worth the $50 price tag and whether or not you should by it for your audio setup. Let's talk about the hardware. I have to say that the build quality and components on this board are superb. the solder joints are clean, it's got a nice and sleek black PCB, the wire terminals, 3.5mm in and out jacks bot feel solid and high quality. It also come with some cables for I2S, serial, and an IR sensor for remote control. All of these features makes it the perfect board for adding wireless streaming to an audio system, creating a custom portable speaker, multi-room audio systems, and wireless satellite speakers for your home theater. For me, I'd love to get a few of these and make some handcrafted speakers for every room in the house. Each unit can play independently or sync music all over the house. Let's talk about setting this board up and the app. This is where I feel like there's some room for improvement. In order to use the app, the board must first be on 2.4ghz WiFi. You simply cannot use it if the WiFi is down. I'm in communication with Arylic about this very issue. You are not able to connect to this board with Bluetooth until that WiFi connection is made which a major downside of the software. When I began testing the board, I discovered that a mesh network like my home network is not compatible with this board. I managed to get around this with a wireless access point. And when I did, connecting was reliable and relatively quick. Using Ethernet was possible after the initial WiFi pairing of the unit with my phone. As long as the board stays powered on, reconnecting is even faster. However, you must repeat the connection process if the power goes out. The software itself is pretty straightforward and easy to use. The device list lets you access the settings for any devices you are connected to. You can easily add additional devices and each device can be set to left, right, or stereo. Independent volume control is also easily set here as well. The hamburger menu gives you the expected functions such as favorites, searching, and several streaming services. Speaking of streaming services, you have a lot to choose from although many are not what you'd expect. Alongside Spotify, Pandora, TIDAL, and Amazon Music you'll find services like iHeartRadio, Deezer, and even Napster. The Internet Radio options gives you a selection based on geography and there some other obscure (at least to North American listeners) services like French streaming services Qobuz and Deezer as well as Chinese services XIMALAYA and QQMusic. You can also save up to 10 preset stations from Spotify. However, all Spotify specific functions, including presets, require a premium Spotify membership. You are, of course able to play any local content on your device, create playlists and favorites, and sort your content by song, album, artist, and folder. Though it should be noted that you cannot add folders to the system library. There are EQ settings as well as Sleep Timer for those of you who need music to fall asleep. You can also view a ton of information about each device you connect to the app including wifi strength, network, IP, MAC address, plus you can change the audio prompt language. The app itself is fairly polished even though it lacks visual style. I did not have any trouble navigating the menus to find what I was looking for which is not all that common in consumer electronics (Sony, Samsung, I'm looking at you). Other than that, the Arylic Up2Stream stays out of the way of the music. There's no audible hum or distortion of the audio signal. It can handle 24bit, 192khz flac, wav, and ape lossless file formats via local media and NAS server storage. Finally, the bottom line. Do I think this device is worth the money? Should you get one or more than one for your audio setup? To the question of cost, I think it is a bit pricey if you're going to add just one of these to your existing system. You can find cheaper bluetooth adapters for existing speaker systems that will get the job done with little to no discernible degradation of audio. However, if you want to add multi-room audio to your home, office, or apartment I think this board presents incredible value for the money. The fact that you can control multiple boards from your phone including volume, balance, and EQ is pretty amazing. Sure, you could get a SONOS system, a bunch of Amazon Echos, or Google Home Maxes, but you are limited in the selection of speaker options that these provide. Add in a NAS audio library, and you've got a system that could rival much more expensive pro-sumer grade audio solutions. If you're like me and love to tinker and build your audio gear, I would definitely recommend picking up one Arylic Up2Stream for each area you want to stream music. Hopefully we will see updates to the software to address the wifi issue.

This amplifier board is really something worth getting. 4Stream app works very well on iPhone, and almost as good on android. I bought this mainly for the Airplay support and it works well. Sound quality is awesome, but you have to provide very clean power to it. Two complaints: wish it had filter for noisy power, and wish the IR receiver was attached with a cable instead of soldered to the board. If you mount this inside an enclosure, you have to desolder the IR and extend it so that it can be placed elsewhere. I also wish they sold a separate volume control potentiometer too.

I've had issues with bluetooth reception for years. Music and program dropping out just when you want it most. But now! This little unit is virtually plug and play (you do need to get a power supply 5V 1A charger and cable - you probably have one of these lying around like I did). Frequency response and coverage are excellent, far far better than bluetooth. If you're running a Mac like me you will need to get an app called Airfoil on your devices which will enable you to listen to ANY program you can hear on your Mac. This includes Apple Music, YouTube, any system audio. One other important note: this is an electronic board it does not have housing so all conductive contacts are exposed. Will need some type of housing. Using the case that came with it for now.

Why is this the device. WiFi is the key I can control the playlist, volume etc via my phone with the 4stream app. I can now play music in the backyard and have total control. I use a DNLA connection to music on my NAS. It reads all music formats I have thrown at it so far. The connection can take a second after my phone has gone to sleep but wake up is very stable. I have connected a DAC and a thumbdrive with the USB connection and after reading all the music it starts playing.I have not used spotify or Pandora yet. I own the up2stream pro v2 and the up2stream AMP v3. both devices can sync and play the same song with no lag, or I can play different songs in different rooms. All in all a remarkable small device that meets my needs to a tee for a fraction of the cost of a SONOS setup.

Item is not useable ...within minutes of power on the dac chip labeled mvsilicon instantly gets burning hot,followed by shutdown...terrible terrible .i am returning it now .wanted to exchange it for another but they need it to be so difficult ..i am building a 430 watt portable hifi system btw
