How can I check if the light’s motion sensor is working properly?

This outdoor security light will only be activated when motion is detected in the dark. To test if the light is working correctly, place it in a dark environment and make a movement in front of the sensor.

My light doesn’t turn on after inserting batteries. What should I check?

Ensure the battery cover is fully locked with a clear “click.” Check that all batteries are inserted firmly and in the correct +/– direction, and make sure the switch is turned ON. For best performance, use fresh alkaline batteries.

Why does my light stay on and not turn off automatically?

The PIR motion sensor may detect movement or heat sources nearby (such as pets or passing cars). Try repositioning the light away from heat vents or reflective surfaces. It will automatically turn off about 20 seconds after no motion is detected.

Superb !

I took a chance on these and am not disappointed. My scepticism about them being battery operated proved wrong. They're great. Firstly, to note that they say they are weather proof but best installed in a sheltered place like under the eaves, which is what I've done and would definitely recommend. Installation and set up is really easy for anyone half descent at DIY. The sensor can't be adjusted so I had to mask off half of it with black insulating tape to stop the unit being triggered by passing cars. This is at no detriment whatsoever in the context of this review though. Great level of illumination as can be seen in the photo. So all in all, five stars. Great buying.

Outdoor lights

Great lights, bought for my mum in the front and back of her house. Easy to assemble, lights up a fair distance for the right amount of time and are quite bright. Would recommend.

Great Product

Bought the 2 x 2 packs. Installed three lights - they work very well with great range for motion detection and good brightness that lights up a bigger than expected area. Unfortunately one light did not work. The clip that holds the battery compartment secure had snapped, so the batteries weren't being held in place properly. Even when physically pushing the compartment together, the light still did not work (I tried it on one of the other other lights and that one did work) which leads me to think theres more to this issue than just the broken plastic clip. Maybe the LED is also damaged? Overall, really like the lights and they've been up over 2 weeks and working as expected. Sadly loses 1 star because of the one light that came damaged.

Easy to install and work perfectly

These are easy to install. Positioning is good. They come on for the perfect amount of time (for me. They don’t stay on long after movement is stopped which is good). And they have a good circle of bright light which can be accurately positioned. Great value

Decent light but PIR sensor is inconsistent

Decent light but the PIR sensor is very variable in terms of distance to trigger the light - sometimes it is triggered at 5m and other times I have got less than 2m away before it switches on.
