We keep this composter on our kitchen counter to collect our kitchen scraps. Since we began using it (versus the bowl we were using before), there have been no bad smells and most importantly, no fruit flies. It is a perfect size for a family of four if you plan to empty it every two days or so. It also looks nice on our counter. Highly recommend.

Not too big, not too small. For two people this is the right size. It looks nice and is good quality. I am happy with this purchase.

Looks good on the counter and that charcoal filter really works. I've had some items that really stank when I would empty it on the compost pile, but not a whiff of the tank odor with the lid on. Brushed metal looks great and is easy to clean.

Great quality, size allows us to accrue more compost in the kitchen without multiple trips, and the filters keep the longer use time from getting stinky. Easy to clean.

Although the lid arrived dented, this pail is great. I have no smell. no fruit flies (it's winter and I won't know about summer for a bit) and I don't have to take out the regular trash as frequently (because there is no food waste in it). The size is good, I got the 1.7 gallon because I take my trash to the dump about once a month and I need the capacity to match the time frame of my dump runs. Overall, would have liked it to arrive undamaged but its working out as expected.

It's a metal lightweight easy to use compost bin at a good size for my kitchen counter top. It doesn't take up much space and is perfect for you to compost something conveniently. I also bought compost bags to fit in the bin and the bags can twist & fit around the side of the bin's handle. For this reason, the bag doesn't drop inside the bin from being too full & heavy.

The bin is thin SS and some of the tack welds show under the lid. Could have been ground down or made a little heavier. We like that it has a handle to take to our larger outdoor compost bin!

So far we are very pleased with our purchase of the Abakoo Compost Bin. It is of ample size, is attractive and masks the unpleasant odors most efficiently. All in all it was money well spent... We will see how it holds up after a few months.
