The best wireless charger for your Model 3, with the best support
This is my second TapTes Wireless charger for my Model 3. I sold my previous one, which worked without any issuers, to my coworker for her brand new Tesla. What I love about Taptes products is they are extremely well designed and they have great customer service. For this 2nd Generation charger, I really like that it now supports an additional landscape position. I tried all three spots (two vertical and one sideways) and you can see in the photos they all charge my Pixel 3 wirelessly without any issues. For this version, you can plug them directly into the front Tesla USB ports and even with the latest firmware updates, there are no issues with charging. I tried my wife's new iPhone XR and yes, it does fit (even with a sizeable case) and it charges wirelessly. I wanted to connect a USB drive for TeslaCam so I used one of the splitters and plugged it into the passenger side USB port. I rarely have someone in the car so I wanted to keep that side dedicated but also support a passenger's phone. By the way, the charger comes with two splitters! The install was super easy and the package includes instructions and everything you need. This time, the charging cables are detachable micro USB whereas the first generation were just built in. I really don't need it but I appreciate the flexibility. For example, if I get a USB hub with USB-C ports, I might buy a micro USB to USB C cable. I've emailed support twice and both times they responded quickly and were very helpful. I asked them details about mounting/installing it as well as specifications on the products.I don't think you can go wrong with this product. It's fairly priced, often as a coupon, works perfectly out of the box, ships quickly, and has great support. I would recommend the more expensive versions out there because they all pretty much do the same job.

Great Product for a Great Price
I chose the TapTes Tesla Model 3 Wireless Phone Charger due to the more reasonable pricing compared to other Model 3 wireless chargers out there, and also because of the ability to charge with your phone in landscape orientation. This is a feature that only one other competing model that I looked at had, and useful if you like to use Waze navigation while driving. Installation was a snap (instruction booklet included) and it looks like it came stock with the car, which is important to me. All the cables needed were included, even two USB splitters so that you will still have a slot for your dashcam drive and one other for music. A bonus feature I didn't even know about was that a small USB C cord pulls out from the ledge that holds up the phone(s). This ledge is also big enough to hold the phone(s) in place, even under full acceleration (I have a Dual Motor). Charging is pretty slow, but I have last year's iPhone Xs which doesn't allow for very fast contact charging. Newer iPhone and Android users will be able to take advantage of a faster rate. I'm not knowledgable enough about this so make sure to look into what speed your phone supports. LEDs light up when the phone is charging (one for each of the two sections), and that's about it. I've bought other products from TapTes and I'm really glad they are on Amazon now because of the Prime shipping.

Fit perfect, easiest mod
Received the wireless charger quickly and took me 3 minutes to install. My Tesla 3 phone holder rubber were scratched badly, so even just replace it with this TapTes wireless charger Gen 2 is already an improve on look.I have a Galaxy Note 8 phone, with a case, so unfortunately, it won't fit vertically with the case on. Remove the case, it will be a tight fit. But worry not, since this version you can charge it horizontally so that what I did, and it works instantly. It also comes with a wired charged hidden in a small compartment in front of the charger for the phone which doesn't have wireless charging function, or have magnetic case not be able to wireless charge. It's small thing, but thoughtful from the design which I appreciated. It is the easiest mod and very helpful for your car. Every Tesla 3 owner should buy this.

Wireless charger works great, could use additional accessories
This charger installed easily. After installation the console lid still opens easily and there don't seem to be any obstructions once the wireless pad is installed. I'm not sure if this is the wrong version for my car, but I didn't have two regular USB plugs available, I have one regular USB and one USB-C, so the cables didn't install as expected - I had to order a USB-C to USB converter (I actually ordered three since the back console in the car also has USB-C plugs, and I needed to provide regular USB plugs for charging). You can see the adapter I added in the second picture. Just something to be aware of. Also, the USB-C cable that sticks out from the bottom of the wireless pad doesn't come with a lightning adapter (I added one as you can see in the first picture). Phones that are in a case that won't allow wireless charging, or that don't support wireless charging, can be plugged in here, and it would have been nice to have an adapter included. The wireless charger is a little temperamental as far as position of the phone - it will quite often blink when I put the phone in place, but I usually just have to pick it up and wait for the blinking to stop, and then reposition it. Usually that seems to happen when the phone is placed it a little too far away from the charging indicator light, so when it is moved slightly closer with the phone parallel to the light it seems to start charging successfully. I keep my phone in a very thin case (Spigen Ultra Hybrid Designed for iPhone 11, purchased from Amazon - a great case!). Also had to use one of the Y adapters provided to hook up a USB drive for the dashcam, and it works great.
