Great powder. True satin black, not semi-gloss
A true satin black. Easy application and no issues. I refinished the headlight and fluid reservoir brackets on a Ducati Monster and it looks factory. The 1 lb comes in a resealable bag, not a jar. Not a problem but FYI.

Easy to use.
I used an Eastwood dual voltage gun to apply the powder. Although it was my first experience with powder coating, it turned out beautiful.

Expensive cup of powder
I don't know how i got 'confused' when ordering and thought i was buying a pound for $13, but i was real disappointed when i opened my box and found a cup. My fault? This powder sprayed real nice. I have to spray my parts hot because i have a cheap, weak gun, and that is why i don't get a perfect finish. This is some nice powder, but not worth twice what I normally pay. Your obviously paying for Eastwoods packaging. I usually get it in a cheap bsg and twisty from my usual place. After writing the above, I see they have another listing for a pound and it's just a few bucks more. Why would people choose to pay 15% less for 50% less product? I'm not sure I ordered 8 oz, but that's what I got and it's left a bad taste in my mouth. Tastes like b s.

Great looks, great durability
I first ordered a half pound of this to use in my Harbor Freight powder coat system and liked the looks and application enough to order another pound. I'm using it on various parts of our Jeep like the exposed door hinges and windshield brackets that are known to pit and rust on all Jeeps. I found the adhesion, durability, and appearance were exactly what I was looking for. I had also tried the matte black on the same parts first but my wife said she thought gloss would look better. Since it is only $19 for a pound and the process is so quick and easy I gladly re-did the job and I think she was right. If anyone is wondering, I used my Harbor Freight powder coat system set at about 13psi, and had minimal over-spray, even application, and great results. The parts were first sand-blasted in an Harbor Freight sand-blast cabinet, then cleaned with acetone, then hung in a box on copper wire. I coated 6 to 8 parts at a time, transferred them into an oven that I purchased on craigslist.com for $50.I hung 6 to 8 parts in the oven at a time, and turned the heat to 400 until the powder flowed out, then backed down to 350 for 20 more minutes. I did do 2 coats on all the parts for extra durability.I think that the finish is flawless and looks great. I plan on doing more parts now that I have the process down and see how good the results are.Bottom line. This is a great product, and I can also recommend the matte black as well if that is your flavor.

Best Customer Service Period
I purchased several pounds of various powders all of which exceed expectations. The FedEx guy decided he would leave one of the powders in the grass next to the mailbox for some reason. I’m in TX in the middle of summer so that powder didn’t last very long. I contacted Eastwood with expectations to just inform them and I would have to battle with FedEx to make it right… but Eastwood responded right away informing me they already shipped out a new bag. Nice to see there are still properly raised real humans amongst us. Keep it up Eastwood.

Works great
I used this to powder coat lead bullets, keep in mind, all lead is not created equal though. The first batch I did handled the directions just fine, another didn't, it softened and deformed, the 400 degrees for 20 minutes was too hot. I recommend starting it at 450 until you notice a uniform shine over the bullets, then turn it down to between 250 and 300 for 20 minutes, works fantastic that way.I also recommend after coating the bullets to dump them in a strainer to shake it a couple of times to get the excess off before heating them, much more uniform, less sticking to te crumpled straightened non-stick aluminum foil that way.
