Flexibilty
I really like this battery bank. I like that the batteries are removable / replaceable with the standard 18650 batteries that fit in other items I have like flashlights. I can carry more capacity by just having more batteries to insert. I can use this to charge an 18650 for the flashlight by swapping them around. I can charge this with a portable USB-C solar panel, or in the car or an AC cube. What I wish they would improve is the durability, especially the lid. I drop it and the magnet attached battery compartment lid pops off. I like the magnet. Its slick and simple, but this is something I carry in a pack or pocket and I just drop it once in a while. The magnet ALSO pops out and I have glued it back in several times with epoxy or cyanoacrylate, and it just doesn't stay. A hit still pops the lid and the magnet goes too. Thankfully I haven't lost that tiny magnet yet. I don't hate it, but hopping they read this and maybe make a slightly better lid or a whole new rugged tested version. I think they could make something like this that uses their XTAR Lithium AA/ AAA 1.5 batteries, as a charger AND as a portable bank for charging other electronics. I would sure buy one.I think this an unknown gem for people who like to be prepared.

Absolutely genius, A very useful and impressive device!
I ran into this XTAR one day looking for something completely unrelated. Decided to give it a shot, and fell in love immediately. For a few reasons, but mostly because after using it just for a day or two, it was obvious that the designers of this, took a lot of care, and did the research in order to make it remarkable, and it really is.So, full disclosure, I am a vaper. My daily device does use replaceable 18650 Lithium batteries. It can be annoying to try to make sure you have a fully charged one before I set off for the day in the morning. Hence why I had been looking for a device to solve that for me. This is fantastic battery charger, and if you use it just as that, you will be satisfied, it does everything that a standard charger will do. with all the latest safety features so it knocks the battery charger side of things out of the park in my opinion. When it is charging batteries, the info display stays on, not for 30 seconds, or 60, but until its unplugged. It supports fast charging (9v &12v QC) and lets you know when that fast charging is active with the voltage read out. It supports pretty much all sizes of lithium cells I know of other than maybe the extremely short side of the spectrum. It even protects the circuitry from reverse polarity. If you are like me and have the need to charge all kinds of stuff on the go, this is highly recommended.

Love the idea, but the voltage measurement is wrongi
I've got a bunch of 18650 batteries now that I've learned how to safely tear them out of various devices (ie., a laptop that doesn't work anymore with a removable battery? Free batteries!!). This makes this device perfect for utilizing those batteries! Now, my gripes: I have a Zanflare charger that gives me the right voltages of the batteries, and this charger will not show the correct voltage of the battery. It does seem to measure it correctly because it does display the correct %.For example, plugging this cell into my Zanflare tells me that the voltage is 3.82v. My understanding is that many lithium ion batteries are fully charged at 4.2v, and the XTAR does tell me that the battery is at 61%. It does seem to measure the correct amperage when charging the battery via USB-C.My second gripe is I wish the cover's magnets were stronger. The magnet feature is a super nice touch and I really like it, but for example if I allow my kids to use the battery pack, those batteries will be lost. I'd have to tape it shut but then I have tape all over my nice battery charger.I also wish I could give this a 3.5 rating. I'm not happy enough with it to give it 4 stars, but not unhappy enough to give a 3. I guess I'll leave it at a 4 since many vendors do work hard for ratings since inaccurate bad ratings can kill a business, but hopefully this review will help some potential buyers make an informed decision.

Definitely works as advertised!
This product really deserves 4.5 stars because of one small issue. I've overcome that by using a soft sponge under the lid to keep the battery from misalignment - this usually happens if you move it around too much. The problem with this is that the PD standard will not work and you will be limited to 5V. Most newer devices can quick charge at 9v but if one of the cells lost contact you will be limited to 5v. I am using unprotected 18650's but remember that protected 18650's are a bit longer and would prove to be a tighter fit.I ordered two of these and use them daily without any issues. I disassembled my old drill power packs and used the 18650's inside. You would not believe how these can accumulate over time especially changing the brand of cordless drill after it fails. Everything is straight forward and self explanatory, you have just one button but you will hardly use it. The device powers on itself and powers off just the same when disconnected. It powers on with very low power draw devices - something I've struggled with on other power banks. The build quality is very good and the display does it's job adequately. I really can't complain and I'm more that satisfied with my purchase.
