Assembly has changed and is now very easy
I was hesitant to purchase this light at first because of the daunting wiring/electrical reviews. The factory must have changed their design and assembly methods since it couldn't have been easier to assemble. All you need to do now is screw in the rods (the arms) and install as any hardwire fixture. No more pulling wires through and finding nuts to fit. Everything is already wired for you.I am having my electrican install because he's re-wiring our home, but if he wasn't already on site my husband would install this light with no issues (and he has zero electrical background). Will update review once it's assembled and hung. But for now, I'm super excited about this mid century inspired light at an amazing price.

Great light with a few installation quirks
Great looking light and good price for what it is. Some quirks though. It came very nicely packaged, with each stick individually wrapped. All those were fine. The only problem was the ball base part was not wrapped, and had several scratches. Easily touched up with a Sharpie, and since it's up high, you don't notice. So glad it was partially assembled, wiring everything would have been insane. That said, it still takes a long time to screw in each piece... times 18 pieces. One tip - as you get to the last few pieces, pushing the wire in can get tight, but you can take off the top and pull it through from the inside.Lastly, the instructions are very vague and poorly translated. Also, to attach to the ceiling you have to be creative - the included pieces don't work like they should. But all that said, after everything was up and installed, it looked and worked great. Would buy again.

I absolutely love this fixture. I was not wanting the traditional crystal chandelier. I wanted something different and this fixture was it. It took my friend no time to hang it. He even screwed each arm in since I didn't have the patience. If you're looking for something different this is IT.. If I had to make a complaint it would be I thought the shape was more oval and not round. I brought the other one with 12 lights for my front door foyer. I'm loving the vintage look with the Edison bulbs. It's something special. And after comparing prices on other sites. If you go for this go with Amazon.

NOT AT ALL WORTH IT
So once you get this light all put together, hanging and hooked up, it looks wonderful BUT this thing took my dad (an experienced electrician) and husband 6 hours to assemble (it comes to you in 20 different pieces, with NO instructions) and then you need to wire it together. I have no idea how anyone with no electrical experience would get this thing working safely. After lots of grunt work our light works well but we needed to add lots of touches, like electrical tape and large ends to cap off the wires to ensure this thing did burn our house down. My advice to anyone looking at this light. If you have a trusted professional that you can get to put this thing together and up for you then go for it. If you're not, don't get this!

Good, but not without some surprises
I like this light, and I'm keeping it for now. Unfortunately, there were several issues that I failed to take into account or which arose during installation that I wanted to point out to anyone thinking of buying this light.1. It's hot. All those bulbs heat up and it puts out a tremendous amount of light and heat.2. It'll buzz and hum gently if you put it on a dimmer switch. I recommend using a dimmer switch to keep the light & heat manageable.3. The down tubes like to pop off their connections even after being securely screwed in by hand. This happened once during installation and the whole light fell towards the floor. The wiring caught and held, but I'm worried that it'll break loose again one day when trying to change bulbs.4. The directions are practically nonexistent. A picture and some vague hand-waving. If you've ever installed a lighting fixture, you can figure it out, but if not, don't start with this one.Again, I like the way it looks and will be keeping it now that it's up. I only used one of the down tubes so may swap it out in the future if it ever breaks loose again. So that's one star lost for construction and instruction issues and one star lost for heat generation. Maybe something other than Edison bulbs would have lessened this aspect....

It shouldn't take 2 hours to put up a simple light fixture
This is a really cool looking light. However, putting this thing up almost caused my husband to pitch it out of the window. Before I begin, let me inform you that we've just remodeled our whole kitchen so we're not exactly strangers to the use of tools. Anyway, the screw that goes from the ceiling bracket to the extension rod was too short. The holes on the chandelier mount where it screw into the ceiling bracket were different sizes and neither of the sizes matched the screw that came with it. Seriously? Can Chinese people not figure out bit sizes when they're drilling holes? This is a good reason to buy American.

GORGEOUS Chandelier!
Absolutely LOVE this chandelier!! I got so many compliments on it. One thing you MUST do though if considering the purchase and that is install a dimmer switch. This uses A LOT of bulbs as you can see, and even with the lowest watt bulbs, the amount of light it throws off is intense. Be prepared to spend as much on the bulbs as the chandelier cost too. I purchased my LED Edison bulbs at HD, and they were almost 10 bucks a piece but are stated to last years and use only pennies to operate, so well worth the investment. I've included some photos.
