OXO Good Grips 4 Cup Fat Separator, Clear

Absolutely perfect for a large pot of gravy! I love OXO's designs and this one doesn't fail the "awesome design" test. From the top strainer, to the large size, to the liquid stopper... awesome! It is sturdy and made a high-quality plastic but light enough and easy enough to be used fully loaded. Depending on how many ingredients in your gravy (mine have a lot), the strainer works super well. Bottom-line: Don't get a dinky fat separator - get this awesome OXO designed strainer - you won't regret it!

I love to make gravy from drippings but I'm also trying to be a little healthier and this helps with that. It works just as promised. The black part on top strains out the big stuff. I didn't realize how much I was going to like having that. I through the whole rig in the dishwasher. The little red plug goes in the silverware holder and it all washes fine. Be sure to leave it in until you're ready to pour from the bottom. If you don't, the spout fills up with grease.

Great ! I thought it was smaller ( 2 cup size), but it’s quite large ( 4 cups), and that was a good thing. We use it all the time and it separates the oil from the stick beautifully

I almost exclusively use Oxo products because I can depend on them and this one is no different. Excellent Quality and dishwasher safe.

Idk how I made it to 43 without figuring this one out, but here we are. Thank you, cooking shows. I love this gadget! Way better than trying to ladle out the fat from the top. Time saver. Made for perfect dripping gravy from our turkey. Loaded up the base of the roasting pan with veggies, bouillon, fresh herbs, lemon rinds and water, and cooked the turkey on a rack nestled into the pan (breast side down). The bird steamed itself tender. But then the gravy!! I loaded up all the drippings and what was left of the veggies, squished them down in the upper part (sort of a juicing if you will), let it rest for 10 mins to separate while I toasted up some butter and flour, and then poured the drippings into the pan, stopping short when I got to the oil. The gravy didn’t need any other seasoning. It was perfect as it was and delicious! Bonus, the dogs got a special fat treat on their food for the next few evenings. I opted for this model over the spout on bottom version, because I trust gravity and time will always wreak their havoc. I was worried the seal on bottom variety would fail eventually and it would be a pain to clean. With this model I was worried I’d get too much grease still in the pour, but it was clear when to stop pouring, and it was a breeze to clean. Bonus, I have an extra measuring cup between dripping uses. (I bought the 4 cup version.) This brand sealed the deal for me, as I have other devices from them and they are all built well and to last the test of time. This purchase will not disappoint!

I wish i would have known about this sooner. This has made life so much for simple. It does an excellent job of separating the fat from the juice.
