If you need to check the PH of any water, this is a handy and convenient little tool. It’s not very big, fits in a shirt pocket easily and has its own little carry case. We have a pool and test regularly. We used this alongside the regular PH test kit we have. It’s very accurate and the display is easy to read. The one thing I didn’t like is that it had to be calibrated with distilled water (which we didn’t have) before using which is why I only gave it 3 stars for ease of use. We will definitely continue using this. I think it would also work well for fish tanks, tap water (well water or city water), spas, etc.

So I opened the package read the instructions carefully following the directions I filled 3 small glasses with the recommendation of distilled water added the 3 calibration powders individually, however I could not get an accurate reading according to the instructions. So I decided since I work at a wastewater treatment facility and have state certified solutions here I would test it at work and the picture shows those results. FYI this PH meter was bought for at home use in my special garden not for work, however I cannot trust this product. Also pictured is my state ph tester along side my tester reading the same solution. Sad face.

I was expecting a light weight piece of junk like ai have got in the past but this one seems much more durable, works well and was roughly the same price as other ones I've tried this is easy to read, comes with instructions and a few packets to help you get started balancing your ph. It even come with a case.

This pH meter is garbage! Amazon should pull this! You CANNOT calibrate it due to the fact that there is no adjustment screw on the back. The way it works it you immerse the probe in a known pH level like 6.86 on the powder pack. If the probe does not read 6.86 you ADJUST it to read 6.86. That is how you calibrate any meter, there is no adjustment. So the instructions tell you to hold the calibrate button for 6 seconds. Ok, then what? I immerse in 6.86, the probe reads 4.00. Hold the cal. button and after 6 seconds release and it flashes 4.00. GREAT but the solution is 6.86. Again there is no adjustment. There is a hole in the back but no screw... I am a licensed water treatment specialist and CEO of Absolute Water and this is garbage! REGARDLESS of how cheap it is, if it doesn't work its worth nothing....REMOVE this product!

This ph meter will work fine on the first couple of uses and will eventually stop reading anything. I would suggest researching a product that will work for more than a few days.

Test solution proved the calibration was off.. I attempted to calibrate this unit a few times and it would go through the calibration process. But after the unit was consistently off 1 to 2 ph compared to my also freshly calibrated high dollar auto meter... I was hoping fit an inexpensive quick tester but unfortunately the inaccurate results are not going to work for my application. :(... #bummed. Product looks well built... just unfortunately does not function as it is expected too..

Don't bother with this product. The read out is NOT backlit, though numbers are large still hard to read 8n a dark location.The reading jumps around, more water movement the more it jumps, and does not ever settle to one number read out, so who knows if it is accurate.

Complete trash, good thing a buddy of mine that has a ton of experience dialing in water for fish came by with 3 different testers. All 3 were very close in readings at 7.1 to 7.5. This digital reader calibrated several times still shows our pond is at 8.6, way off. I was treating the water daily and good thing he came by. DO NOT ORDER!
