Really fantastic sugar free candy!
I always thought Russell Stover's Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Medallions could never be topped. Then I bought some of these, mainly because they were on sale and because I had not tried them yet. Hershey's Chocolate, big deal right? Well that bag surprised me, they were 100% delicious! And the Hershey's are now in the top spot in my sugar free chocolate stock. Though both Russell Stover and Hershey's Dark Chocolates each have their own set of qualities that are enjoyable. I now have to have them both.7/05/2023 Challenge: pop .5 to 1 bar in your mouth and let it melt without touching a tooth. Yes it can be done because I do them all that way. These candy bars have taught me how to really enjoy candy. For reference: I am a 5'9" male, ~165lb and on a cold day in the winter I can make one of these last ~4-5 minutes and on a hot summer night I can melt one completely inside of 2 minutes. Enjoy!

Diabetics rejoice. Low net carbs, Superb taste."They got it right."
They got the carbs right. Diabetic IIs count net carbs. religiously. We have to. Hersheys uses the two (2) best known baker's tricks to reduce net carbs:a) inclusion of dietary fiberb) inclusion of sugar alcohols. Each bag has ten (10) units. Each set of five (5) units has 24 g. carbs, less 4 g. fiber, less 1/2 the 17 g. (round up) of sugar alcohols = 12.5 g for five (5) chocolates. YES, I know many bakers deduct 100% or "gram for gram" from carbs for each gram for sugar alcohols. My doctor says otherwise.SO, a diabetic gets 2.5 g. net carbs for each teeny tiny bar. I can live with that. They got the taste right. I love Adkins products, and I can (and do) consume one or two every day. [What can I say, my flesh is weak.] But Adkins does not make PURE COCOLATE BARS, and I crave that unadulterated taste. When I want pure chocolate, I do not want it diluted, or dumbed down, or distracted with coconut, or nuts, or ...whatever. These have a clean, strong, pure chocolate taste. "Mildly sweet"? Hey, they taste great. AND JUST ONE OR TWO SATISFIES MY APPETITE. And with 12 packages of 10 bars each, there's 120 pieces of wonderful to hoard.

Rare "Actually Tastes Great Even Though It's Sugar-Free" cheat-treat (with a possible placebo side-effect cure for headaches :)
Really wish they'd make these easier to come by (but woohoo for AmazonPrime!). I'm not paid to sell these... they just asked for a review and I thought... hmm... perhaps I should share this little secret with others. Unless you buy too many and they are sold out. Then I might have to hunt you down to get some. Ok... based on my previous sentence... it... it might be addictive. But you'd never know it's sugar free! Husband and I both enjoy this (despite being purveyors of REAL dark chocolate a little too much... um... hence the switch). I don't relish the idea of getting diabetes no matter how melt-in-your-mouth French homemade chocolate can be on my yearning tastebuds). Wait. Wow. Where was I. Oh right. So... yeah, trying to cut down on sugar. Thus, we are really grateful for these! Also, on weird side note (to a, let's be honest, a weird and rambling review), my husband claimed they helped his headache recently, so when I got a massive headache the other day, I tried his "Hershey's Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Remedy - or HSFDCR - we're not great at acronyms when we have headaches)... and here's the thing... it ACTUALLY worked. Indeed, it is a completely unscientific study that boils down to the most likely solution that it was just a placebo "I'm eating something that tastes a whole lot like dark chocolate so of course my head isn't interested in it's previous engagement of torturing me" effect. No matter the reason... GOOD to KNOW. ;)

They are fine... just not a fan of dark chocolate
They are fine and fresh. It's just that dark chocolate is kind of dry and bitter. I much prefer milk chocolate. If I hold a bite in my mouth and let it melt, it's better that way. Don't think I'll get anymore of the dark. I'll stick to their (sugar free) milk chocolate bars which I really like!

Excellent
Tastes like dark chocolate to me I never would have known it was sugar free. So if you don't want the sugar and you want to satisfy your chocolate craving I hardly recommend this product

flavor very good
individual packets of dark Hershey chocolate with a very good fresh taste for a sugarless product. Packaged in a special envelope that kept the chocolate from congealing into a big chocolate ball..

Love these!
We eat mass quantities of chocolate when the stress rises in our office. Often, I'm confronted with a conference table full of delicious chocolate miniatures. I don't feel deprived when I know that I can have a couple of these and get that real Hershey taste, with out the corresponding rise in blood sugar. Beware that they are full fat and calories, but aren't going to spike your blood sugar, so to a degree they don't reinforce that stress/eat candy response that seems to go around in my office.I was not particulary a dark chocolate fan, but was hoping that the slight bitterness would keep me from eating so many that I would get the stomach issues that almost invariably go with sugar alcohols. They are really delicious, and even my artificial sweetener-phobic boss ate a couple, but wouldn't really admit she liked them, just that they would "do".Sometimes, I can stop after two of them, and sometimes I go ahead and eat four; much more than that and you will need to be alone in your office with some Febreze, or possibly spend some time in the "facilities". As the reviewer above noted, try some at home (alone) first:)

Sugar free. I can’t have sugar or milk chocolate anymore.
I have found small pieces of thin plastic in the chocolate pieces, which surprises me. As I thought Hershey made quality products! I guess we all have to be careful concerning what we eat. The only reason I was able to find those foreign things is because I allow the pieces to melt all the way down.
