I have been running these pumps for about 4 months now. They have remained submerged in water the entire time, except when my water reservoir is emptied and cleaned.The build-up you see on the pump in the picture is just vegetable oil, I add it to the water to keep mosquitoes from breeding. That said, the oil has not inhibited the pump at all.The only issue I've experienced is that after a couple months of running the hoses started to come loose from the pumps as they are only a friction-fit connection. I added a small zip tie, and this solved the problem.

After reading some of the reviews i debated whether i should buy theses pumps. I need them for a project i will be starting soon. I only need one small pump, but for the price of three , I believed that at least one would work. Surprise, they all work really well. They are the right size, Their voltage and current specifications are great, and there price is very good. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase!

Two of them in separate applications broke within 24 hours of plugging them in. Not sure what went wrong but they're totally dead. Very sad. Worked well enough before it broke, though they were a big loud. Louder than my 80 and 100gph pumps, a d this is probably 20gph.

I'm using these for smart watering of house plants. I've run only two so far, but they have a lot of power for their tiny size, and they're very quiet. The pumps themselves are fine, but I'm unimpressed with the leads; they're only 8" long, and the wire is so tiny (looks like 30ga) that it's difficult to find anything I can use to make a waterproof splice. Considering the cost of cheap wire barely thicker than human hair, they could make the leads a little longer to get over the edge of a reasonably-sized reservoir. Overall, though, I'm happy with them--they're very inexpensive, so they'd have to be pretty bad to not be worth it--and only time will tell how long they last. Mine will run for only a few seconds when the soil moisture sensor reading triggers them, but I'm not sure whether that'll be good for the pumps, or bad.

The ones that work, work well. Only two functioned upon receipt. So, three stars because I received a non-working pump.I'll update if the other two don't last long. They seem pretty "cheap."

This product was used for an engineering school project. It worked perfectly. It came well packaged and the price was excellent.

I was shipped 4 pumps. One did not work out of the box and one died after 20hrs (mainly submerged) of service, One has been running fine for ~100hr submerged (not always running) and the last one still runs. I'm not super impressed with the quality
