The Only Pour Over Coffee Maker You Will Need
As I write this review I am sipping on a delicious cup of java made with my beloved Hario pour over coffee maker. I have used this ceramic device virtually every morning since 2019, when I originally purchased it. This means that this review is what I would consider "comprehensive" since the product has been tested for over 5 years, as of now! The ceramic is of very high quality, it definitely stands the test of time. The inside has spiral grooves which helps the coffee flow down through the grounds. It also comes with a handy scoop for measuring your grounds. The size of the maker might be smaller than you would expect, when compared to other pour over makers you may have seen. But do not worry this is not an issue, the size has no effect on the final product (coffee). I believe the size is actually optimal, not too big, not too small. It is the perfect size for a single cup of coffee. After years of brewing coffee with this maker, I have created the ideal method for the perfect cup of Java! First, take your coffee filter and place it in the maker. Pour hot/warm water on it so the entire filter is saturated/wetted with water. This helps mitigate the risk of any type of paper flavor passing into the final cup of coffee. After this, pour out the water from your mug and get ready to start brewing! Put your measured scoop of coffee into the now wetted basket and pour just enough hot water over the grounds so everything is saturated with water. This allows the grounds to "bloom", which basically means release co2 so you have a more flavorful cup of coffee. Let the grounds "bloom" for about 30 seconds then begin pouring hot water over the grounds until you have made a cup of coffee! TL;DR This is the perfect single pour over coffee maker. I have used mine continually for over 5 years!

Simple to use, well made, tried and true.
This is much better than the plastic counterpart. Since it is ceramic, it allows for a cleaner flavor and doesn't absorb bitterness from the coffee. I've used it for five(?) years on and off. Still looks new. For easiest cleaning, rinse in warm water immediately after use. If it gets stained, dampen a paper towel with water, add a little baking soda, rub gently, and rinse thoroughly. Excellent product. We drink a lot of coffee in this household, and so do not use this everyday (my husband likes to use our percolator instead). I keep the pour-over coffee maker around in case I want to have just one cup. Very handy.

Consistently Excellent Coffee Gear
Hario coffee merchandise is by far the best I’ve used. Everything—from their drippers to their presses—is thoughtfully designed, durable, and easy to use. The quality is consistent across their products, and they really elevate the home brewing experience. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys making coffee.

The perfect coffee brewer
The best value in coffee brewing especially if you refuse to brew with plastic (trust me, I looked). Gives you great control over the flavor of your coffee. Preheat it in your toaster oven, works great

Simple, Personal and Fresh
Love the clean, white ceramic look. If I can manage not to drop or break this, I hope it lasts a lifetime. Size 1 works out great for me since I'm the only coffee drinker here. But I can make enough coffee for at least two at a time. I purchased the matching coffee liners but I'm thinking I can get away with the small (cheaper) standard/generic liners i can buy in bulk even if they may be bigger and not as perfect a fit. I may save the hario brand v60 liners for guests/entertaining. When I'm not in tea mood, I'm definitely enjoying the process of grinding my beans, and setting up my personal mug of coffee with this personal drip! Glad to have retired my old French press. -UPDATE 10/20/20- It’s surprisingly sturdy. I dropped it while I was handwashing and although it fell just a few inches, there was no chipping or cracking, which I was sure would happen, the way it hit my sink and the way it sounded. Phew!

Lower quality now
Lower quality now. Originally purchased 6 yrs ago. It was heavier and base was thicker. Ordered a new one after my last one finally broke and could not be repaired. It was significantly lighter and felt cheap and easily breakable. I’ll give it a go bc it’s still the best coffee maker.

The one you want
I've been through many different pour over devices through the years and this is definitely the best. The filterless type are convenient and less expensive but the grit and mud at the bottom of the cup is a downer and might actually be unhealthy. The only problem with this Hario one is you need filters that will be hard to find especially in this one cup size because most pour over filters will be for the V shaped holders. But the Hario branded filters aren't all that expensive and certainly make the best tasting coffee that is easy to do.

personal office coffeemaker
Hario is good quality ceramic dripper and from the package it is made in japan. So far this is a good alternate way of making coffee in office. After trying many different ways of making a good cup of coffee in the office, I think I finally have found what I needed: Hario V60. This ceramic coffee maker fits in top of a normal sized coffee cup. Using Hario I don’t have to be concerned about plastic and other health issue in office coffeemakers(including Keurig). The setup is easy and takes about 3 minutes. The only issue is that by time I get my coffee ready, I find the coffee a little colder than I am used to. I am still working on refining my coffee making method. But one way I found that keep the coffee hotter is as follow: I start by filling my coffee mug with hot water and I wait for about 20 seconds until the mug absorbs the heat from the water. I then pour out the water, place the coffee filter and starter pouring the water slowly (using the method described in the package). Once the coffee is done, I transfer to a thermos travel mug. I also found that I can now drink coffee without a need for sugar! That is something I couldn’t do before with coffee from office coffeemakers.

I would have not buy it if I knew it is small cuz you can barely fit the V60 filter

El 01 es el modelo pequeño. Se ve realmente pequeño, pero es perfecto para 1 o 2 tazas de café y el tamaño va en relación con los filtros 01. Buena calidad y el café se filtra perfecto a buen ritmo
