Excellent value. Sturdy build. Would buy again.
Self-storing cord is a great plus.If you need to remove the SSD, simply1. Remove the 2 screws on the end cap opposite the cord connection end.2. Remove the screw on end nearest the blue activity light3. Remove the short screw (the other 3 are all long and match) on the side near where the cord enters the internals of the case.Be sure to seat the SSD firmly (may require a second detent push) to prevent a hardware error when you connect to the computer. The plastic bracket has no explanation in the documentation. May be just to ensure fit for some drives, but no instruction regarding it.Would buy again!

Works as advertised. Looks good.
This is a good little enclosure, but recognize that it's designed for you to put a drive in there and leave it there forever. You need to completely disassemble it to get the drive out. I bought it to use once while cloning a spinning hard-drive in my laptop to a SSD, so it was not the best choice for this as I needed to get the SSD out again in order to put it into my laptop. If you're looking for an enclosure to put a drive into and use for the long term as an external drive however, this is a great choice.

Good Enclosure. Cable Could Be a Touch Longer.
Works as advertised. This is your average 2.5” USB 3.0 hard drive enclosure with aluminum casing. I‘m currently using it to house a 500 GB WD Blue SSD, and I can’t complain. A month later and still no problems. The only downside to this enclosure is that the cable is a touch too short. I find that I have to pull and stretch it around the case in order to get the USB plug to fully tuck into place. I’m just waiting for the day that the plug or the entire cable snaps off from all the strain. If the cable were just like 50mm longer, it would be perfect.

Great case with slim form factor
Does exactly what you need; Holds a 2.5" SATA drive with a USB 3.0 controller built in. Metal case helps manage thermals with no issues thus far and I've been using it with a 500GB 5400RPM drive. For those who need a waterproof case, i sure hope you are using a Mil-spec laptop to go with that. It's a $15 external USB HDD case, not an accessory for a dive computer.

Good design - missing the two screws to keep the end on the case
This is a great design and it is well built. I like the built-in cable. Hard drive clipped right in. Just missing the two screws for the end piece that locks the HD inside.

Well made and easy to setup.
Feels solid when it's all setup. The cord being permanently attached is a plus and I love the way it stores it in place. The installation isn't tool free but is is just two screws so it's not difficult at all. Definitely a good deal for the price.
