Cervical Neck Pillow

A member of our household had to deal with a disabling level of pain before and after cervical fusion surgery, after a vertebrae began pressing on the spinal cord. This pillow was essential as a supportive devise. Highly recommended! It even works well for those of us with normal necks (no titanium plate), placed under a regular pillow to creates comfortable support. Highly recommended!

I received this pillow yesterday. Could not sleep on it. It was like sleeping on styrofoam. This is the hardest pillow and I can't imagine how this product passed the inspection line. I have been using an Obus pillow for over 20 years, but have always bought locally.

I have multiple disc injuries in my neck and this pillow is firm like I need for side sleeping. The memory foam pillows are too soft for me and this is the only one that helps me not be in pain. Please do not discontinue this. I bought one two years ago and was so thankful I could buy again when the other had worn out.

I have chronic neck soreness. At least I used to. After trying several different materials for pillows, I decided to go funky with this pillow. It made all the difference for me. I no longer wake up with a stiff neck and a headache. It works both when I'm on my back and when I'm on my side (where I spend the majority of my sleep time). It's a bit stiff when you're used to a traditional pillow, but if you can convince yourself to try something new for a week you'll like it in the end. It gives, but in a different way than many are used to. I love that it matches my mood with four different "modes" by flipping it different directions. It's not great if you like to prop yourself up to read or watch TV. The only reason I went four stars and not five is that it is stiff and doesn't work well for propping up and leaning into. But for sleeping, this pillow is the best I've EVER had.

Gives us the neck support we need. Very firm. If you like firm pillows, this is the best one I have found. Just keep buying new replacements when needed.

I have an Obus pillow that I purchased some years ago and thought I was buying the same product. This one is so much harder than my old one! I tried to sleep on it, even put a softer pillow on top but I had to remove it from the bed. Very disappointed. Will stick with my old one. At least I can use the new pillow case - transferred it to my old Obus!

No, not the same individual pillow. It is important to get a new one every once in a while, as it is for any other pillow. This one seems even better than my previous one (possibly because it was time to change it). It is very firm and gives you four options (higher, lower; the other side is flat but has higher / lower under it) to find your favorite. I love higher.

Ordered this pillow for my wife since she is having neck pain. She has been using it for about 2 months and she seems to think that the pillow is alright, and the pain during the evening has subsided some, but the pillow is a little uncomfortable. She has had a hard time getting used it. It's a little too hard, and too high. She seems to think that the Foam pillows which contours to your head might be better. Just last night she threw the pillow off the bed and said "this pillow sucks!" Oh well, can't say I didn't try.

My chiropractor recommended I get this pillow for my neck pain. I was hesitant based on some of the reviews and the fact it cannot be returned, but I’m glad I went for it. I will say it is definitely firm, and it took some getting used to. Especially if you’re used to a standard pillow. The curved cervical support is a bit jarring at first, but I’ve found it to really improve my neck pain, and now I actually find it quite comfortable. The different height options are useful between switching from side-sleeping and back-sleeping. Give it a chance and you won’t be disappointed!

Tried for 2 nights. Terribly firm, to the point of being painful. For me, the side sleeping posture was almost impossible as the raised ridge meant to tuck under one's neck, is too large. If you have a very slim, long neck profile it may work for you. Average neck length won't work. This does not feel at all like any of the memory foam products I have purchased and used. It feels more like the dense foam used in packaging materials. Weird though as my Physiotherapist recommended this product for trapped neck nerves. I wonder if the material used has been changed over the years? Did not work for me. Thanks Amazon for being very helpful, which saved the day for me.

Both I and my wife have one of these and for me it relived shoulder I would have at night when sleeping on my side. If you buy this you will need a minimum one week to get used to it. It also does seem to soften a little after a few weeks. If you are used to a very soft pillow now this might not be the best for you. We both like this pillow and we have silk pillow cases.

I have used these pillows for years, and was disappointed when I ordered my last fresh Obusforme pillow, to find it was made of memory foam, which is not rigid enough to provide true neck support. Then I ordered this pillow, after a lot of research/reading reviews. Although the description on Amazon says “memory foam”, this one is made of the rigid foam I needed. Yes, it is hard. But when I am in bed it supports my neck perfectly, and after initial “getting used to”, I sleep like a baby, with no cricks in my neck ever.

By far the greatest pillow ever made in all of human history. Thank you ObusForme for making this pillow stiffer. You guys are true heroes. Nothing works as well as this stiff pillow- no massage, no meds, no cervical facet joint steroid injections. Thank you for the pain relief.
