I initially bought these to fit outside of a bird feeding metal post, but when I got them, I had miscalculated the size needed so it would not fit around the post like a cap, but it fit perfectly inside the metal opening to keep water out. Working great so far.

Caps worked perfectly for what we needed!

The former owner of my property installed a wood slat fence around the property. Because of the wind we get nearly every day and how severe the wind can get during a storm, the fence is being supported by metal pipes about 3.5'' in diameter. That's great for holding up the fence. However, because the pipes weren't capped, wasps like to make their nests inside the pipes. Some nests can be seen near the top, others are lower. Because the pipes and therefore the wasps are so near where I spend a lot of time vegetable gardening and overall grooming of my lawns, I get buzzed by the wasps quite often. I really don't want to get stung, so I used these rubber caps to close off the pipes. Yes, I know the wasps can nest just about anywhere they want, but at least I'm no longer providing them with their favorite windproof place nesting places. The nests inside the top of the pipes are bigger than any wasps' nest I've seen elsewhere. It's especially horrifying when the swarm is sitting on the nests as sunset approaches. It's as if they are literally pouring out of the pipe tops.I'm so glad I found these caps. I've already installed them on the pipes, because so early in spring where I live, there were already 5 out of 39 pipes with fresh nests inside. They didn't like me being so near their nests. Thankfully, as I installed the caps, I had my handy can of wasps killing spray with me. The can of spray is not something I want to carry around with me while I'm working, so it will be nice, hopefully, that I'll have a lot fewer wasps diving at me in my yard.

Getting these installed on 3/4" table/chair leg (tube) is a bit tricky. I used a bit of WD40 inside the cap and a pair of needle nose pliers to slide these on. They are snug and won't accidently come off.I'm happy with these.

I bought these although I only needed one, so the others are back-ups. I used it to cover up the end of the conduit that carried the wiring for my former outdoor hot tub. The conduit is one inch plastic flexible type. The cap fit like a glove.

What I ordered these for, they don't fit - as I was sent the wrong size.I was going to return them and get the proper size, but these fit the feet of my folding chairs, and give them a better grip on the floor.They did slide nicely onto the chair feet, and so far they are holding up nicely.
