The brass nipple is of great quality and unique in that although it is only about two inches long, it has a 6-sided nut located in the middle. Most nipples do not have this feature. The nut makes it much easier to install via a wrench. With brass fittings, it's extremely important to make them as tight as possible, else they are prone to leakage. However, if installed properly, they will virtually last forever and are corrosion resistant.

This adapter worked perfectly for me and very strong and cheaper than buying it at the store. Very solid brass material.

I purchased 6 of these for my main water line rebuild inside the house. I had no issues; each fitting was machined well. Properly sealed with pipe joint compound, they did not leak.

Great product! Other competing products are to thin and light weight and too short for hoses to fit. This one is hefty, solid and well polished. I also am nursing numerous cuts because threads from the competitors are razor sharp and not at all polished or rolled. —Hands were cut badly after handling competitors connectors.

Precise threads mate well with piping and irrigation valves. Does not leak. Almost four years of continuous use and no sign of any problems.
