I haven't seen any reviews here mentioning pet use so i wanted to say that this is the best product that i could find for my cat. She was has a condition where her body basically doesn't produce the enzymes she needs. This supplement helps with that. Others that i tried did not work because she wouldn't eat the food as soon as she smelled the powder. Because these are micropellets, there's nothing to smell. We've been using this for the last year and it's helped her regain her full weight.

Not a pleasant subject, but serious when its happening to me. GI Dr prescribed Creon for my EPI, but it was too expensive ($590/month with insurance). I have been using this as a substitute for 2-1/2 months, and it is working fine. At 1/10th the cost, its a bargain for the relief and regularity it provides. I tried this product with some trepidation about buying from overseas but after carefully experimenting for about four months now I have been very pleased and reassured that this is the real thing and successfully replaces the very expensive prescription product I had been using. I have EPI (exocrine pancreatic insufficiency). I have noticed from reviews and online forums that many people using this kind of product do not have good information as to how and for what it should be used. I encourage people who need this type of product, replacement enzymes for pancreatic insufficiency, to get professional guidance on its use. Multiple doctors I have spoken with do not know how to prescribe it and none of the product information I've looked at provides this information; it simply tells you to use it as prescribed. The best information I got was from a registered dietician who specializes in GI issues. Even with that, there are individual differences and I continue to experiment to find the best regimen. Forgive me if TMI, but the successful use of these enzymes lies in the quality of one's stool and I believe this should be the criterion on which people decide if it is working as intended. Remission of other kinds of symptoms is also a consideration but stool quality is the indicator of successful digestion.

what I got must have been very old, each Capsule smelled strange coming and going, no effect on Digestion.

The 25000 Micrazym does the job for me. The Creon I started with worked OK but I was not happy spending such a big chunk of my monthly Social Security on it. I think the Creon people are guilty of price gouging when comparable strength Canadian and European sources are so much less expensive. I'm still fine tuning my daily quantities with two of the 25000 strength Micrazym capsules the base I start with. I fill in during the day with lesser strength enzymes with mostly good results. I am able to get out and about leaving the porcelain throne behind. I'm a Happy Camper with my dosages and hope this review results with others finding what works out for them. I am very grateful that this excellent product is available. The enzymes survive the low stomach pH because of the micro-encapsulation. This product halted my weight loss (170 to 148) and enables me to assimilate my food rather than...you know. I have been at 160 for the last two years and will use this product for the rest of my life.

The product is 5 stars. Amazon gets 3 for their effort to save money and send it in an envelope vs. a box. Product was obviously crushed repeatedly.
