I don't know what it is but I break so many mugs at my sister's house. My cousin sent a bouquet to my sister in a mug exactly like this and I managed to break it in my misguided attempt to remove it from harms way. My sister was out of town so I ordered this mug to replace what I broke. She called to let me know she was coming home and I told her what happened but I had a mug that looks just like it. Fortunately she was gracious about it. I went to visit her when she arrived home and she tried to show me a mug from a different friend?!?! To this day I haven't even looked at it! LOL! This smiley faced mug is beautiful and good quality. I would have paid twice the price and been happy 😊

I knocked off a star because the smiley face on mine is higher than it was supposed to be and it's a bit close to the lip edge. Husband is still happy with his gift though so like I said, it's a small nitpick 🤷

I love having larger cups of coffee in the morning and typical size coffee cups are just too little for me, this is about 1.7x the volume of a regular coffee cup, 👍 been able to use the dish washer and put near boiling water and it’s been fine. Nice material too
