Great headset
Fast delivery, product as new. The headset itself is great, in spite of bulkyness, it feels comfortable on your head. ANR on par with the original Zulus and probably better than Bose X. PNR much better than any Lightspeed or Bose, and better than David Clarks. Eats through batteries like there's no tomorrow.

Worst ANR and curstomer service experience - I wouldn't recommend this headsets.
I purchased and received the headsets in 11/13/2007, as I work as a skydiving pilot, the noise is something you got to take care. The truth is that I started loving them, the noise reduction was amazing, the cushions were really soft so I was really happy with the purchase, but I started having problems with them really soon, I started to have problems with the noise reduction around 07/03/08 and I had to send them back to factory for repair, after long delays in reply from warranty service from telex and discover that I had to pay for shipment back to the states (I purchased them from Spain) I sent them back on 07/09/09.The contact with telex service was really bad, long time for responses and very difficult to speak with nobody.I received the headsets back on 09/16/09 without any advice from telex service or response from my email, for my experience I can say their customer service is really bad, my emails were at the best answered 2 or 3 weeks later at the best.I have to say that I received what I think were a new pair of headsets, but unfortunately they broke again after a few months of use. They still work as a normal headsets, but the ANR broke twice in few months of use, this second time I didn't bother in contact telex because of their bad service and that I had to send back to the states the headsets and I had troubles with customs because telex sent the headsets as if I was purchasing them for first time instead of a repair. In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend anyone to purchase this headsets.

Great PASSIVE Headset,ANR is just ok
The headset is very big, but it's the most comfortable headset I've ever worn, even with glasses after 5 hours. It also provides excellent passive noise reduction and it really doesn't need ANR. The ANR, however, is not great. I used to wear Bose A20s at work, so maybe it's unfair to compare the two in that regard, but I will say the Telexs were way more comfortable and provided far better passive protection than the $1100 Bose, which ate batteries. The headset comes with a cigarette lighter attachment that can power your ANR, but I wouldn't recommend using them with GA single engine piston aircraft that were built long before ANR. I'm taking a star because I had an issue the ANR after just a couple months (the headset created a lot of static every time I moved my head), but I needed my headset so I just used the passive noise protection and put off the warranty request. When I finally did get a chance to make a claim with Telex the customer support page had mostly dead links, no immediately available phone or email, and the "chat now" link went directly to a "we're not able to answer you right now, our hours of operation are ::right when I was making contact::" I left a message not expecting much and I did get a response a couple days later, got the ball rolling, explained my issue, headset model number and receipt, then got an email out of nowhere from someone saying "Unfortunately, we discontinued service on the Stratus 50-D the last week of 2015. If you have any questions, please let us know." I was getting frustrated and couldn't believe this was the response on a brand new headset I bought in 2018, so I just forwarded the message directly to Telex's Marketing Dept. They responded the next business day with a tracking slip and even called me to ask some follow up questions, then told me it was a misunderstanding between the Stratus 50-D and the Stratus 50 Digital ANR headsets. I'm sending the headset in now, so it's not completely resolved, but they have provided fair customer service so far, all things considered, and it is a genuinely good headset for loud airframes.

Well satisfied
Comfortable, quiet headset, (quieter than my wife's Bose), but a bigger and heavier. Adjustable tension, boom mike swings either way. Long cord(too long), battery box a bit flimsy and batteries difficult to remove. Took a while to get to work with my I-phone, the phone must be switched from stereo to MONO. Would buy again.
