A Very Safe Release by 10 Years
Where The Autumn Effect has haunting lyrics and melodies that create an aura of darkness, and Division combines the devilishly effective acoustic segways with the honest emotion present in (nearly) every song, I am still asking myself what Feeding the Wolves has that stands out. The answer: not much. This is not to say it is a bad album by any means, and I did enjoy it. Unfortunately, while Feeding the Wolves is, admittedly, solid all the way around, it tends not to deviate from its own pattern. Nothing is terribly bad or boring, but 10 Years also neglect to do much of anything new (unless you count dumbing down their lyrics), and there's only a couple of songs that stand out. The title track is one of them. Between the awesome drums and the brief screaming at the end (something new, at least) it stands stronger than many of its successors.Though many fans are gushing over the second track, "The Wicked Ones," I'm not biting. Despite its catchy chorus (which is a trait shared by nearly every song on the album), it's really quite boring. As far as the rest of the album goes, only "One More Day" and "Fade Into (the Ocean)" jumped out at me. The former is a softer track reminiscent of Division material with inspired, interesting lyrics, and the latter offers much of the same, including excellent vocals and riffs. Both of these songs are top notch.Luckily, I had the good sense to buy the deluxe edition of Feeding the Wolves, and I was much more impressed with the bonus tracks. "Running in Place," though placed awkwardly between two tracks that made the standard release, is a catchy song with some addicting riffs. The acoustic version of "Shoot It Out" is worth a few listens but really doesn't compare to the standard version. On the other hand, the acoustic version of "Fix Me" is far superior to its counterpart. The real jewel on the deluxe edition, however, is "Silhouette of a Life." This song immediately struck me with its simple but effective acoustic riff, eerie lyrics, and "Autumn Effect" nature. Sure enough, when I did a bit of research I discovered it was on the original 10 Years EP, Killing All That Holds You, which explains why my ears quickly identified it as the best song on the album. My overall opinion of this album is still one of mixed feelings. I enjoyed every song to a certain extent, but even upon further listening I struggle to label more than four or five of the tracks on the fourteen track deluxe edition as standouts. There are some new elements present, such as the previously-mentioned brief screaming and a small handful of heavier riffs, but they never go anywhere. Had 10 Years expanded upon these elements they most certainly would have made a better album. Unfortunately, the interesting things they throw in are only inserted as teasers, and Feeding the Wolves ends up being exactly what the record company ordered: an album full of catchy, accessible songs, any of which could end up on the radio.

Now this is more like it!!!
10 Years fans rejoice - after the last album "Division" which left many of us wondering what the direction of the band would be, we can rest at ease. While "Division" has its place and time, "Feeding The Wolves" hearkens back to the sound of "Autumn Effect" that we all came to love and enjoy. Jesse Hasek has an amazing voice, and it clearly shines on this album. I always listen to an album and listen for vocal and tonal similarities to other bands, then I piece together the music I want to listen to on a given day or trip.On this album, I find that Jesse has some similarities to Brandon Boyd (Incubus) most notably on the "The Wicked Ones", "Chasing the Rapture" and "Waking up the Ghost". This album is very well engineered with amazing sound and clarity. I would love to see them live one day after listening to this album. I still listen to "Autumn Effect" and "Division", but I feel that this album far exceeds the previous ones. A must have for any hard rock fan.

Deluxe has more
Like this cd a lot as I am a ten years fan. The reason I purchased the deluxe is because it has a couple more songs than the regular version of the cd and some acoustic song versions also. I would recommend buying the deluxe instead of regular cd version if you're trying to decide between the two because the only difference is just more stuff on the deluxe version.

Great CD!
Love the band and I believe this is their best album. Don't hate me but I like this one the best. Great for a long car ride for those of us that don't have smart phones...if there are any people that don't.

The Usual Greatness
I was never a big fan of music until about two years ago when I heard 10 Years for the first time on the radio. Since then, I have never looked back.Their newest album "Feeding The Wolves" retains elements of all three previous albums, but is still entirely its own. This album has gone back to their heavier days of "K.A.T.H.Y", but is more aggressive. As seen in the songs:"Shoot It Out""Now Is The Time (Ravenous)""Chasing The Rapture"It embodies the cryptic, poetic lyrics that define "The Autumn Effect." As seen in the songs:"Fade Into (The Ocean)""The Wicked Ones""Waking Up The Ghost""Dead In The Water""Silhouette Of A Life" which is actually a re-release from "K.A.T.H.Y" (no worries, it's still in its original form)And it contains the catchy rifts/choruses found in "Division." As seen in the songs:"One More Day""Fix Me""Don't Fight it""Running In Place"All in all, "Feeding The Wolves" is nothing less than ear-gasmic. But Let's be honest, what else would you expect from the epitome of awesomeness?

Welcome back 10 Years.
i got this the day it came out and was a bit skeptical since the single "shoot it out" wasnt my favorite. but i bought the cd because i had faith that 10 years would give me a solid cd. and they did not dissapoint. this cd is. as the insert says, their masterpiece. a perfect blend of the last 3 cd's. its almost like they recorded the other three as single entities and then condensed all three styles into this one amazing cd. if you even remotley enjoyed any of the other three cd's, Killing all that holds you. The autumn effect and Division, then you will more than likely love this cd. depending on your musical tastes that is.

The vocals are always great and the music interesting
Since hearing the song 'Wasteland' on Youtube I've become obsessed with this band. The vocals are always great and the music interesting. But this album is something different entirely. Every single song is fantastic and a joy to listen to. I've been listening to it every chance I get and I can't see myself ever getting bored of it. If you like this band, even just a little bit, then buy this album. You will not be disappointed.

Solid Release
10 Years is one of those bands that have a lot going for them, such as great vocals, catchy lyrics and ample sound. This album delivers assorted hard rock arrangements that will please most listeners, with Shoot It Out being the most radio friendly tune. Fix Me is another quality song that will have you singing along. Fade Into starts of with blending sounds of guitar and echoing vocals, forming into a raging guitar focused sound with solid arrangements, taking you through a raging 5+ minutes of slow to frantic sounds; very well done.

Klasse!
Meine Favoriten: "Shoot it out" und "Now is the time".
